Channing Tatum Talks GAMBIT's Accent, Card Tricks, Costume, X-MEN Cameos, And More

Channing Tatum provides a very interesting update on Gambit, including how his accent and card work is coming together, its ties to the X-Men Universe, and the chances of a pink and purple costume.

Talking to Digital Spy, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin provided an update on Gambit, teasing fans with plenty of intriguing details in the process. It sounds like the movie will be very much standalone, but that the Cajun superhero will later be integrated into the X-Men movies. However, it also appears as if they're planning on having at least a few characters from that world join Gambit down south. Meanwhile, they also address accents, cards, and the costume, so check out the video below for their comments in full. Are you guys looking forward to Rupert Wyatt's Gambit?

If he blows the accent ugh... This isn't like the twins they were support characters with few lines.

Gambit was one of my favorite X-Men, but I don't think Tatum will be able to pull it off. He's such a giant garbage fire of an actor.

I'm really looking forward to this, Channing Tatum isn't nearly as bad of an actor as some of you make him out to be. In fact I'd actually say he's pretty damn good now.

He'll only get better working with directors like The Coen Brothers(Hail Caesar), Tarantino(Hateful Eight) and Rupert Wyatt

We all should know better than to expect Gambit to look like Gambit.. Be ready for Tatum with Long hair, Pink eyes and a trench coat.. Thats probably as much as we will get. Doubt he will look much like the cool pic posted by @MexicanSuperman …
