Gambit has come close to happening a couple of times now but after the loss of directors Rupert Wyatt and Doug Liman, it appears Fox has gone back to the drawing board. Or just scrapped the project altogether! Star Channing Tatum is, of course, a busy man, so has he moved on from playing the Cajun?
Seemingly not as he's revealed in a recent interview that the movie is still in the works and he's definitely attached to star. "Yeah, of course," Tatum confirms. "We’re working on it right now."
The Kingsman: The Golden Circle star wouldn't say anything more than that but with Fox setting all those release dates for untitled Marvel movies, chances are Gambit is being eyed for one of those. Who will direct remains to be seen but after the success of R-Rated movies like Deadpool and Logan, Fox must see that this has some potential if it's handled the right way and makes good use of its lead.
