According to Deadline, Lea Seydoux has been offered the role of Belladonna Boudreaux in the Rupert Wyatt directed X-Men spinoff, Gambit, next to Channing Tatum in the title role.

Seydoux, Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road), and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) were all reportedly in contention, but when the latter dropped out to take a lead role in The Girl On The Train it became a two horse race, which the French actress evidently won.

Bella Boudreax starts out as Remy LeBeau's (Tatum) childhood sweetheart, but the two later become enemies when she takes over from her father as the leader of the Assassin's Guild, and Remy heads up the Thieve's Guild.

Seydoux seemed to be the fan-favourite choice for this role, so expect some happy fans! Audiencs will bext see her opposote Daniel Craig in Spectre.

Aaaaarrrgh!!! Really not sure how to feel about this movie! Gambit is my favourite character, but I am struggling to get past Channing Tatum as him and I'm STILL burned by X-Men:TLS, not to mention the cluster [frick] that was Fant4stic Four...

Not as anticipated of this movie as much as I am for the other CBM's coming out in 2016, but I'm still looking forward to this.

But will she have graphic lesbian sex in the movie? That is the question.

@DeusExSponge

It's highly possible, but F4 will forever be a turd stain that they'll never be able to wipe clean. smh I'm still pumped for the best to happen out of all of this.

In order of most anticipated...

-XM:A
-GAMBIT
-DEADPOOL

But I'm sure I'll love em all.

This movie has one thing going it for it: Channing Tatum. I think he's the only thing that is going to draw the general audience in.
I personally thought Taylor Kitsch was really good in the role in Origins, but the character was definitely not handled properly in the film.
I like Tatum well enough, but I really can't see him as Gambit to be honest. Hopefully I get proven wrong!!!

I do respect Tatum's respect and admiration for the character however. He seems pretty passionate about Gambit, and that's never a bad thing.

She's been OFFERED it.

Great news though! She's a beautiful, sexy femme fatale already, so Bella Donna is a perfect fit
