RUMOR: JAMES BOND Star Daniel Craig Eyed To Play The Villainous Mr. Sinister In The GAMBIT Movie

Best to take this with that ever-ready pinch of salt for now, but a new rumor suggests that 20th Century FOX is eyeing none other than Daniel Craig (James Bond, Logan Lucky) to play Mr. Sinister in Gambit.

Last week, Splash Report shared what they claimed was a detailed plot synopsis for 20th Century FOX's Gambit movie. The breakdown revealed that Nathaniel Essex, A.K.A. Mr. Sinister, would be the primary villain of the film, and now we might just have an idea of which actor the studio is looking at to play him.

According to the site's follow-up report, there are "conversations" about bringing in Daniel Craig - who recently appeared alongside Channing Tatum in Logan Lucky -  to play Sinister in Gambit before reprising the role for other future X-Men movies.

We'll have to treat this as a rumor for now, but these guys have had some solid scoops in the past so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Of course, even if FOX is interested in the 007 actor for this role, there's no indication that he'll be as enthusiastic about it. We'll just have to wait and see how things shake out.

In the meantime, let us know what you think about the possibility of Daniel Crag playing Gambit's Mr. Sinister in the comments section below.

@Doomsday8888 - I know.
Mr. Sinister has nothing to do with Gambit.

IF they were to make Cyclops Justice... Both Sinister and Cable would be there.

Nice casting choice. Now, how son before we see some fan art?

@Jiloco - We all know Bosslogic will have something awful out in a few hours.

@xAdam - It's okay to have an opinion on something you don't like. Philip thinks Bosslogic's art is awful. So do I, but I don't have to be an artist to dislike his cheap, rushed, uninspired photoshop art.
Philip

@xAdam - Probably not, no. But then again, I don't submit half-assed art to the world either. According to you, I can only critique people that I can do better than? If I can't do it better myself, I can't comment on the disproportioned necks, the misplaced breasts, the unrecognizable faces and other subpar detailing?

Truth is, BossLogic isn't the worst, sure, but he's sloppy and compromises the quality of his work in order to be the quickest one. And that's worse than being a bad artist.

Also, the fact that he refers to himself as a semi BRO-fessional is just the lamest thing ever.

@Philip - I'm saying you have no idea the degree of difficulty and effort is put into the work. If you'd put in the time and effort on a piece only for people to shit on it, how would you feel? Be grateful for the pieces he has done since neither me nor you could do any better. Therefore, it should be viewed as a good piece considering that it's unfathomably better than anything either of us could do.

@xAdam - no, it shouldn't.

And just because I don't dabble with the same type of art as he does, does not mean I don't know what kind of time and effort that goes into these pieces.
I don't have to be better at that particular technique to see the flaws in his execution.

With your logic, I can't criticize an athlete for making a bad decision on the field, I can't criticize a chef at a sushi restaurant for making me something that tastes bad, I can't criticize the economic policy of a certain country, because I wouldn't be able to do better if I were in their shoes.
But I can criticize them, do you know why?
Because I know enough about sports to know when an athlete makes the wrong call, I know enough about how sushi should taste to know if it's good or not, and I know enough about economics to see flaws in certain policies. I don't have to be better at it myself.

And I know enough about art in general to criticize lazy mistakes made by someone who only cares about being first.
And I hope it makes him feel bad, as it should. One should not rush art, and he does so for recognition.
At that point, he's not even an artist anymore.

@Philip - So, are you telling me that this

is rushed, terrible shit?
Philip

@xAdam - k wasn't cutting it?

That's not his worst.
But still, the right arm on evil Supergirl is weird. Evil Arrow's quiver is misplaced. Nazi RF's left hand is a blob.

Rushed.

@xAdam - come to think about it, RF's right hand look like a wrench, too.

A solid pick, and after appearing with Channing in Logan Lucky, they might have a bigger chance of landing him.
If they got along, that is.
