New THE WOLVERINE Featurette Focuses On Harada, Minus The Silver Samurai

The website, Total Film, has just released a new featurette for James Mangold's The Wolverine that introduces us to the character, Harada (Will Yun Lee). In the comics Harada becomes the Silver Samurai, but the actor doesn't broach the subject in the video.

The Wolverine will be directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day), from a script written by Christopher McQuarrie.. The cast includes: Hugh Jackamn (Logan/Wolverine), Svetlana Khodchenkova (Viper), Hiroyuki Sanada (Shingen), Hal Yamanouchi (Yashida), Tao Okamoto (Mariko), Rila Fukushima (Yukio), Brian Tee (Norubo Mori), and Will Yun Lee (Kenuichio Harada/Silver Samurai). The film will claw into theaters July 26, 2013.

Oh, and here is an excerpt from the script. Just t let everyone know that The mecha-Samurai and the Silver Samurai are different things.

SPOILERS! HIGHLIGHT TO READ, AT YOUR OWN RISK: A FIGURE IN GLEAMING ARMOR - derived from the ancient
Japanese noble warriors, chest emblazoned with a red
sun. He rips the blade from the dumpster and turns.
His face is hidden by his gilded helmet - black
shadows for eyes. His sword hums, raindrops sheeting
off the crackling cushion of distorted air around it.
Logan extends his claws and prepares to take his first
piece out of SILVER SAMURAI.

The Samurai is pretty sure it will go the other way.
In one fluid motion he swings his charged sword,
slicing the steel door and tearing a gash through the
brick wall in an arch that ends at Logan’s neck.
CHING - The Samurai is surprised to see his sword
stopped so decisively by six adamantium claws. Logan
is just as surprised to see the Samurai’s blade
doesn’t break. Instead it throws off blue arches of
energy between Logan’s claws, blistering his flesh. END OF SPOILERS.

This movie is going to be the shit!

Ok, with that closer look above, I see that daddy is wearing a different armor and not the SS one (chest designs are different).... I still hope that Will wears the SS armor in the movie, and is still a mutant.

Silver Samurai better wear a silver samurai suit (no stache) & have powers that he uses in tandem with his sword...or the movie is CRAP!

Don't FVCK with the comic books,adapt them Hollywood..don't play your silly games.
The source material is better than your stupid ideas.

Hope this film is good,wait & see.

WHOA WHOA WHOA why is Harada played by a Korean actor? Why can't they find a JAPANESE actor to play the role of the "Silver Samurai"? I mean, this is just as bad as a British dude playing Superman. Unacceptable.


I hope you guys notice how stupid this sounds, just like how the rest of you complain about actor's ethnicity for other films. I bet most of you didnt even realize he was Korean and not Japanese. The guy is a great actor and that is what should matter.
