Daily Telegraph was able to snag an interesting photo from the set of The Wolverine, Friday on a back street in Surry Hills. It features, star Hugh Jackman lying on his back while a Japanese gangster points a gun at him. The set was constructed on Brisbane St., transformed to look like a strip in Japan, with Japanese signage and vehicles scattered throughout.

A stunt double was also seen, but no photographed, leaping through the air. Filming of James Mangold's The Wolverine is expected to wrap by the end of the month.

@ fearitself

No one laughed when they saw Keaton with pointy ears in the Batman Suit, nor did anyone laugh at Chris Evans in The First Avenger, nor did anyone laugh at Christopher Reeve when he wore the red undies on the outside of his pants. What makes wolverine so different? If they can find a way to make Captain America look good on screen they can do it with wolverine. Come on, Captain America has one of the lamest costumes ever from the wings to the pirate boots and they made it work. No excuse for Wolverine to not have his suit and have it look BAD ASS!

i hate jackman. i wished they wouldve made a wolverine in the late 80s early 90s. My all time pick for wolverine is MEL GIBSON!!! Lethal Weopon Mel preferably.

@fearitself...Totally agree with you on Jackman being the wrong guy for the role....Mickey Rourke would kill it...The cool thing is they can play with the suit just as they have done in the comics, the brown and gold would work more so then the yellow and blue. The black and grey from X-Force would sale on the big screen without a second thought. But my main point is that they cant even dress the character in street clothes in a more honest representation...hence, plaid shirt, bluejeans, boots.

There wont be trailer for a long time,they are still doing principal photography so you dweebs need to STOP ASKING ABOUT A TRAILER!

Also,Jackman does NOT look to pretty to be Logan..Zac Ephron would be that type.
Jackman looks the part & is solid actor,too tall but where is there a 5'3" actor that could do it?

@sameoldthing - Finally, somebody who isn't whining! Where were the complaints after Xmen and (especially) X2-Xmen United? He was totally badass!!! 'Last Stand' and 'Wolverine' watered his character down to a cliche. And since the majority of you seem to have amnesia, the 'First Class' suits were only recognizable by the yellow and blue, otherwise they'd been completely altered from the 'yellow spandex' look from the classic comics. Some things just don't work on camera.

And for the record, the Claremont and Miller story arch didn't have that particular costume Logan is known for.

@wtfTMNT

As a matter of fact, between '89 and '90 when Carolco Pictures owned the rights to X-Men and James Cameron was being pursued to direct , Mel Gibson was one of the men on the list to play Wolverine, along with Sylvester Stallone and Bob Hoskins, one person who was actual gonna sign for the role was Glenn Danzig, but he had scheduling problems and couldnt play Wolverine afterall.

But I agree and have said it before, Gibson from back then would've made an awesome and interesting Wolverine :]

Costume. Period. Not saying the Yellow & Blue.... Not saying the Brown & Tan... But a costume nonetheless. Though I believe a Brown & Tan colour schemed costume could work. In the X-men movies he wore a costume. It wasn't a costume from the comics, but it was a costume/ uniform still.
He could wear something like that. A mask could even be incorporated this time as it could be an updated ninja mask.

@Happy11

Though I thought Caps new suit was ok, they could've done more with it than just him in a Captain America sweatsuit, given it more texture and maybe have the blue a bit of a darker tone, thats why i hop they design a bit of an upgraded version for the sequel.

I know its not important but did u or anyone else notice he didn't have the star on his back either like in the comics?

I LOVE SHOUTING!

OKAY KIDS....AT THE END OF THE MOVIE WOLVERINE HAS TO DECIDE BETWEEN THE GIRL OR HER FATHER!
AS IN ,FIGHT THE FATHER AND LOSE THE GIRL OR .....

SO WE WILL SEE A MONTAGE ...THATS RIGHT..A MONTAGE OF THE FATHER RITUALISTICALLY DONNING HIS FIGHTING GEAR......

AND ALSO WOLVERINE DOING THE SAME.....

NOW STICK WITH IT....

IF I WAS THE BOSS I WOULD TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE WOLVERINE PULL A TATTY OLD BLUE AND YELLOW OUTFIT FROM HIS CASE.....

THIS WOULD BE ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC SCENES IN FILM/COMIC HISTORY.

DOES THE BOSS HAVE THE BALLS!

they shouldn't make wolverine films if they're so embarrassed of his costume. a costume is a big part of a superhero.

and, i actually like jackman as wolvie.

Whose to say Wolverine doesn't wear the suit for all we know the suit is being saved. The problem these days is set photos reveal everything and nothing special is left for the moviegoer once they get into the theater.

If Logan ever wore the suit it would have to be tweaked alot just like Captain America's suit because that suit while it doesn't look silly in the comics it could easily undermine the badass persona that Wolverine has on film.

Hey guys new to the site. Can;t wait for this movie and am lookin forward to the trailer. Its one of those movies that non comicbook are gonna look at and go "huh? ok this seems random but this cold be awesome"

also just a quick question. Does anyone else have problems with this site being really slow and saying unresponsive script? I feel like I can't read an article without having to say continue script or stop it and it only happens to be on this site. And I think everyone knows there is nothing more frustrating then trying to read one of these articles and not getting the information to load right away haha.

All this comotion over something that aint gonna happen! They will never put Wolverine's uniform in a film period! Captain America's uniform from TFA movie was great the Avengers not so much! Although that was a great movie!
