If there's any X-Men character that has had a tough time making the jump to live action, it's probably Jubilee. Despite several film appearances, beginning with the very first X-Men film, fans still haven't seen the young mutant display her powers...or even talk all that much. This looked set to change when actress Lana Condor was cast as the character in this summer's X-Men: Apocalypse, but when all was said and done, most of her scenes and dialog (included one that demonstrated her powers) were left on the cutting room floor.

Screen Rant had a chance to talk to Condor at an event celebrating the home video release of Apocalypse, with the actress expressing her eagerness to do Jubilee justice onscreen. “I don’t know who’s fault it is [that the scenes were cut]. I hope it’s not my fault! If they have another one and I’m lucky enough to be in it, I would love for just like a massive moment where we finally know what her powers are and what they look like. And she unleashes like the Phoenix! Awww, that would be awesome!”

20th Century Fox is also planning a New Mutants film based on the more youthful members of the X-Men universe. Condor admitted she doesn't know if her character can be included (the time setting of the film is undetermined) but she is more than willing to return for it. "I’ve read blogs about it, rumors type of thing. I would love to be in it. No one has told me anything… for this exact reason, but I would love to be a part of it. I don’t even… It’s still going to be part of the franchise… I don’t know anything about it.”

Condor also said Jubilee's youthful attitude is what she enjoys the most about the character. “She’s super independent and I’m going about it like she doesn’t care what anyone thinks about her. And confident. She’s 16 years old and so I’d love for other 16 year-olds or teenagers to see that. I think she’s a role model, you know? Be yourself, don’t give an F about what anyone thinks about you because the only opinion that matters is your own. I like her a lot.”

She does know that she's not the first Jubilee, right? There's a ditch off the New Jersey Turnpike where Singer gives his exit interviews...

All jokes aside... make it stop.

Please.... somebody just make this half-assed franchise stop... Revert the rights to Tim Miller and have Feige produce with Ryan Reynolds playing all the parts, anything is better than more recycled water-treading nonsense from Fox's Pedestriarium.
