Should X-4 Have Continuity?

they're some good ideas for avoiding a reboot! i just want to see some Sentinals and the return of Cyclops (no more Magneto though please!) a decent director who isnt Singer or Ratner would also be nice!

The mutant massacre would be a cool storyline on screen and you could involve both Apocalypse and Sinister.

I think they should continue the X franchise with a 4th installment taking place after the last stand, I see no reason to reboot.

young X-men is an okay idea to just show where everyone came from and give more info on backgrounds but there is no reason to make a series of movies out of it, I say make young X-men then continue on with the regular X franchise.

We need some more of the Juggernaut i was not impressed with what little screen time he had my favorite mutant IS Juggernaut i loved that actor and thought he did great, the script just sucked

3.more x-men development, WHERE THE HELL NIGHTCRAWLER GO? ,and never got to see angel in action, well kinda i dont consider him picking up his dad action lol that was friggin horrible.

osiris you just gave me an idea. Anything they can't put in the movies they put in the game. That could help explain plot holes and missing characters.

Anyway back on topic fair enough we give the other x-men some screen time to explain their story but you need some other people to add into the mix aswell like some group helping/fighting the x men.

yes..i like this.we cant bring both professor back and cyclops in x4, itd be too rushed, that shuld happen in future films, i say bring baack cyclops first, have sinister find him on alkali lake,and take him to his headdquarters.. but i really like this artcle!great job!

I have been campaigning this for years now... Mutant Massacre for X4. Gives us the Marauders, Morlocks, and Mr. Sinister. For a movie adaptation, this is also a good spot to put Gambit on the team. This story also uses several of the X-Men we are left with at the end of X3. As many know, I am the uncanniest of X-fans ;) and to me, Mr. Sinister is, and lways will be one of the deadliest villains of the entire X-verse, and to me, one of the most sinister(pun intended) villains in all of fiction. It is only fitting he be given his turn in the silver screen spotlight. I could go on for hours about this one, again as many of you know. Bottom line though, I am totally with you Scorpio, NO REBOOTS.

In the comics, the 'Dark Phoenix' was a clone of Jean Grey created by Mr. Sinister... one more reason to include him. Maybe that's where Dark Phoenix sent Cyke... The professor has been 'killed' probably more times than any other comic character ever, not an exaggeration. They could pick any one of those occasions to explain his return and keep it to the source.

I have been watching X-Men with interest these last few days. I have delved into X-3 again yet. Okay. I think that X-1 was good but what do you want for a pioneered film? I mean they still have fight scenes and drama and stuff blowing up. Then X-2 Very good for a sequel, characters in there, nightcrawler kicking ass, but for the bad guys unfornately, a remake of the Operation Zero Tolerance storyline. Still I wanted more Colussus. At least he got to be in 2 X movies. Forget about X-men First class. Show the X-men we know and love in another feature film.

the franchise is not dead they could have sinister capture cyclops and jean and since the x men thing professor x is dead they could introduce Emma frost and gambit gambit could be in sinister lab and Emma could help the x men find cyclops and jean cuz wolverine probably things there both alive and he ask Emma to look for them

In x4 ideas...MORE sentinels...have they been confirmed to appear in wolverine2 or magneto or first class or deadpool (so many x-men so little time) I think they should introduce them in magneto's movie he could turn em inside out. If they were introduced in one of the prequels, there would be a connection to why there was a giant robot in the danger room in x3.

I agree with allot of these ideas. They really need to bring back cyclops as the leader of the x-men, his son cable can come from the future and save him from sinister to stop apocalypse from changing the future.
Needs to be more action, more planed out like some of the comic books. I enjoy reading more than the movie just because some of these directors just and cutting it. I mean there okay but it's there way of telling the story. They need to take it from a fan's point of view. (since they probably know more about the story of the x-men) It needs to be more like the script and director needs to read the comic's (like read them don't say you do) don't kill any one if the comics don't (if they do they will have more people regret ever going to the movies ( I was one of them) and they need to make a better movie.

they really need to make an x-men 4 movie because the first 3 was still about wolverine. Don't get me wrong Wolverine is my favorite but its x-men not wolverine and the x-men. the first 2 movie was ok they need to make it more like the comic books, good story line and action. they have the technology to make more affect then just like on seen like the end of x-men one.

They the director or the script writers read that the hopefully wouldn't have made a bunch of us fan pretty upset. Like I said they don't have to get it like the book but some of these are pretty big, at least to me.

Been a Marvel fan all my life and want to see something good happen before my time is over.
My personal thought is I think Fantastic 4 the First one is like the only marvel movie they did right. I am an X-MEN and Silver Surfer Fan all the was but the stuck by Stan Lee's work on that movie, so it was a good one and wasn't disappointing.

All of these ideas are good. As we all know the cure is only temporary since at the end of X3, we see Magneto slowly gaining his powers back. Also, you can almost see the disappointment in Bobby's face when Rogue had taken the cure. Maybe that's a sign that they are slowly drifting apart, also since he and Kitty have been growing close to eachother. I'd say that's a way to take Bobby out of the picture and make room for Gambit in the film for Rogue. Sure, there may be a huge age difference, but come on people, have you not seen Star Wars? Anakin and Padme? Now, if anything, that's a huge age difference there.

And yeah, we never see Cyclops' body, just his glasses, and the fact that the professor had transported into another body. Those are some loose ties. Villains such as Sinister and Apocalypse are a good idea. However, maybe they should have it where this time the villains are not teamed up together. It would be more challenging for the X-Men. More screen time and action scenes for the younger X-Men, aka Rogue, Colossus, Angel. And rather than changing the cast, I think it's a good idea to stick with who we already have seen on screen. It's quite disappointing to see cast changes. Sure, Liev did a good job at Sabretooth, but it woulda been cool to see Tyler reprise his role. Same with the guy who played Stryker.

Anyway, that's all the ideas I can think of for now.
