Tom Cruise & Simon Pegg Suit Up In Intriguing New Behind-The-Scenes Photos From MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6

As production continues on the highly anticipated Mission: Impossible 6, director Chris McQuarrie has shared a brand new photo of Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg, suited up, and ready for action. Check it out!

After Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation solidified the friendship between Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), it looks like the dynamic duo will be back in action come next July when they embark on Hunt's sixth impossible mission, which will take the franchise to heights you can't even imagine.

Earlier today, director Chris McQuarrie, who is the first M:I director to return for a second installment, shared another new behind-the-scenes image from the top-secret set of Mission: Impossible 6, offering a cool look at Cruise and Pegg, fully decked out in stylish suits, gearing up to shoot a sure-to-be thrilling sequence for the highly anticipated sequel.

Principal photography began this past April in London and while it has been a fairly lengthy shoot (with a six-week injury-related hiatus), Paramount has done a pretty solid job keeping plot details tightly under wraps. There's unsurprisingly no word on a trailer, but considering that the Rogue Nation trailer launched just around four months before the film's theatrical launch date, it may be a while before we catch a look at the coming action blockbuster.

Check out the new photos below:

Mission Impossible is the reason why I love going to the movies.

I'm really interested on Cavill's villainous role, maybe this could be his chance to shine as an actor. Also, there's never enough Tom Cruise running at high speed with beautiful cinematography.NEVAH.

@JosephCronos92 - People who say Cavill can’t act need to watch The Tudors. He’s [frick]ing great on that show. And I still haven’t seen it yet, but I hear he’s solid in Man From UNCLE as well.

@MUTO123 - He has a lot of charisma, which is always a plus for me. I never watched The Tudors, but i did watch Man From UNCLE and he was GREAT, which is why his Superman situation saddens me, he has THAT charisma but is not his fault,he's done his best. Just give him a good writer and filmmaker and he'll do wonders.

Wow, Tom is really growing jowls. Even with all the money in the world for surgery and procedures, age is still a b.tch!

A friendly reminder that the first Mission Impossible movie came out in 1996. The sixth film in the franchise will come out 22 years after the first one. And in terms of quality, they've only been getting better over time.

(Hint hint: Kevin Feige - Re: All of the original Avengers cast.)

@Spock0Clock - I agree! There's something to be said for a franchise that has lasted that long. To be honest, with the exception of MI2, I have enjoyed all of the films in the franchise.

MI3 is my personal favorite, but I'm biased, bc Phillip Seymour Hoffman is awesome and I'm a big fan of pre-Star Trek and pre-Star Wars Abrams.

@Spock0Clock - Don't see why you mentioned Kevin Feige there considering the MCU movies have only been getting better as we go along.

@Ragnarocknroll - My meaning is that Feige shouldn't be thinking about killing off major characters willy-nilly just because their contracts are up / it's the end of the 10 year Thanos arc. And also that RDJ and Evans and Johansson and Hemsworth and etc. should keep their options to return open because even long-running franchises can have staying power and continue to improve even well beyond the ~10 years that the MCU has had.

Or, to put it another way: if Tom Cruise had walked away from Mission Impossible after 10 years, we wouldn't have even gotten the two best ones.

(And also, I agree. I think the MCU has been steadily improving in fits and starts over time.)

@Spock0Clock - Ah gotcha! I actually agree. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Does anyone know how to upload a personal image on to this site????

Also, I finished The Punisher last Sunday evening. I really loved it. Frank, Curtis, Billy and Mirco are the standout characters for me. The show is so deep and complex, the issues they touch were just incredible. Episode 8 might be my favorite.

I liked Ghost Protocol better than Rogue Nation, but the last was still a damn blast. Loved the tone of it. I'm hoping they really find a way to elevate the stakes here. As much as I don't want to see any of the main players go, they might want to kill someone off.

@KingPatel - There's plenty of blame to go around. You can probably throw in Cavill himself. He took the role and accepted the terms that meant he'd be unable to do extensive reshoots for JL if needed.

@kallel - no. Between injury on IM6 and tragedy in Snyder's life that happened.

You can find blame in that if you want. Or we can all grow up and move on.
