ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Almost Featured Goliath's Powers In A Flashback

Described in detail by Laurence Fishburne's Bill Foster in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, it's a shame that fans did not get to see Goliath in action. Director Peyton Reed reveals a sequence with powers was cut.

For some Ant-Man and the Wasp was the perfect palette cleanser after Avengers: Infinity War, one that sets up a crucial subplot for Avengers 4, as well as an Ant-Man threequel full of potential. Several characters were introduced in the sequel, most of which will be crucial down the line for the franchise. For example, the pairing of Bill Foster and Ghost was one that left much to be desired. Both have immense potential to be fleshed out in the future, expecially due to their existing relationships with Hank Pym.

Director Peyton Reed sat down with Empire, in which they discussed Scott's visit with Bill Foster. In the sequence, the characters compare sizes. At one point in development, Reed explained that there used to be a flashback that focused on Goliath's powers, though it did not reach photography. “It felt, just narratively, it just was too much of a left turn,“ Reed explained.

Do you think Bill Foster will power up in the sequel?

I'd watch the [poop] out of a movie set in the 70's-80's with young Ant-Man, Wasp, and Goliath kicking [buttocks] and taking names

**************************************SPOILER*******************************************
when they are taking "the juice" for Ghost Thanos supposedly snapped his fingers ...
the problem is that when he did that the London invasion already was a thing. yet Scott and the rest of the gang acted like nothing happened. i just don't believe they didn't know about the London invasion even if it took place like two hours ago.

Should've kept it. Would've been really cool to see them both comparing how big they can get...funny too.

It would've been a welcome way to show (instead of tell) us about Goliath's history with Hank and Janet.

I would preferred it if they did.

But I'd also preferred if they had made Ghost's existence Hank Pym's fault. You know, kinda mirror how he and Scott are going back to fix mistakes due to their thoughtlessness or arrogance.

Hank Pym's ego's talked about allot but we never see either it or the fall out of it.
