In Ant-Man, we got to spend a few minutes with Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne back when they worked together to protect the world and it now appears as if Ant-Man and The Wasp will have us spending even more time with the heroes all the way back in 1987. As you may recall, that was actually the year Janet vanished into the Quantum Realm as she attempted to disarm a Soviet missile.
According to this new casting call, the sequel is looking for "men and women of all ages who can portray Argentinean locals for a park scene taking place in 1987." We obviously don't know what this scene will entail but common sense says we're getting a flashback and probably going to see younger versions of both Hank (Michael Douglas) and Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) in Argentina on a mission.
It's entirely possible this scene will feature another character and will show what they were up to at the time but the date is interesting and points to something Janet related. We know that her daughter Hope will take over the mantle in the Ant-Man and The Wasp but Janet is expected to make her return too so a trip into the Quantum Realm is definitely on the cards. What do you guys think of this news?
