RUMOUR: Is This The REAL Villain Of Marvel's ANT-MAN!?

We recently received a wave of images of Lego sets based on Marvel's upcoming movie The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now a description of one Ant-Man set has been revealed from the Nuremberg Toy Fair - and it may just reveal a huge spoiler! Hit the jump to learn who the real villain of Ant-Man could be... UPDATE: More details on the villain's suit!

Warning - this is your last chance to turn back if you don't want a twist in Ant-Man potentially spoiled! Still with me? Ok. We all know that at last year's San Diego Comic Con, Marvel revealed that Corey Stoll (House of Cards) would be playing Darren Cross, who would act as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Yellowjacket, here reimagined as a villain.

Well, it appears that even if Cross is a villain - he may not be the villain! At the current Nuremberg Toy Fair, Lego were showing off their upcoming sets, including one from Ant-Man, titled the 'final battle' set. And featured in the set? Both Ant-Man and... Hank Pym. No Yellowjacket, no Hope Van Dyne - just Ant-Man and Hank Pym. So, it would appear that Michael Douglas' Hank Pym will indeed end up being the villain of the movie - assuming the report is accurate. Bear in mind the poster of this information has since just reffered to the second character simply as 'spoiler' - so it's clearly something Marvel didn't want revealed! You can check out the listing below.

Marvel Superheroes
Already known AOU Sets
Ant-Man “Final Battle” set with a big spoiler! Includes Scott Lang/Ant-Man, a giant winged ant, the movies foe (Not Yellowjacket, according to the set!) and surprisingly oversized Lego bricks, which looked really great compared to the ant and minifigs.

The set consistet of two minifigs, Scott Lang as Ant-Man and Hank Pym, and also a "giant" winged ant.

It's not as if this hadn't been speculated - many had assumed that Hank would end up being a villain in the movie - but its interesting nonetheless. Could Pym be addicted to the 'psychotic' side effects of the shrinking mechanism used in Darren Cross' Yellowjacket suit? Could he be hiring Lang to steal the suit so he could use it for his own evil purposes? Who knows! But as with all reports like these, be sure to remember that Lego sets aren't always 100% accurate to their movies. Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below. Ant-Man is set to release on July 17th, 2015.

UPDATE: The same user has gone on to describe Pym's suit in the set as "nearly the same as Ant-Mans, but mostly black/darker". Perhaps the Black Ant suit wasn't too far off then! It should also be noted that this information appears to be coming froma  new user to the site - although the fact it was a main article makes me more inclined to believe the information. Still, don't take it as confirmed!

Marvel's Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed, and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Judy Greer as Maggie, MIchael Pena as Luis, Tip 'TI' Harris as Dave, and Michael Douglas as evil Hank Pym. Ant-Man will hit theatres on July 17th, 2015.

Where the hell do you see Hank Pym in the set?

I'm not against him. Pym has always had a dark side.

So does anyone know who is playing young Hank Pym or is Marvel going to attempt a Tron Legacy thing on Michael Douglas?

@LEVITIKUZ

READ the article. The same person went on to say later on that Hank Pym was the villain of the set, but quickly changed it to spoiler. I'll edit that in more clearly in a sec

Changed the article up, especially for those who only read the nice yellow bold boxes.

I'll believe Faraci over a sketchy description of a Lego set that COULD exist. Plus Lego sets mean nothing

Nobody biting on the Time Gem thing? Nobody thinks that's what Pym could really be after, so he could go back in time and save Janet from whatever killed her?

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but they do have to introduce it at some point, right?

Dammit Marvel, Can't you just have who you advertise as the main villain BE THE MAIN VILLAIN. Seriously Loki-Underling to Thanos. Mandarin-Cover for Aldrich Killian. Winter Soldier-Henchman for Pierce. Ronan- Underling to Thanos. GIVE US A [frick]ING VILLAIN MEMORABLE AND NOT CONTROLLED BY SOMEONE ELSE.

I mean, what if that's the thing that made Edgar Wright take a walk?

Nothing?
