Your voice could use some work but you've got a nice thumbnail and you made some great points about the duality thing i din't even notice that

Thumbs up. I hope that's not the soul gem.

We know Thor goes off world to find a weapon of some sort.. Its possible. In fact, I'm thinking its the soul gem. Ultron creates vision, we know Thor and vision throw down, Thor probably wins, tony probably plans to use vision against ultron. Chris hemsworyh said that Thor goes off world to find something to help the team (which we've seen in the second trailer) and it could EASILY be an infinity gem. Plus, this could explain how vision becomes 'human' and less machine, by having a 'soul'.

Wonderman- "ripped away my SOUL"

Ultron creates vision to defeat the avengers, Vision fights Thor, Paul bettany plays vision, but also has voiced Jarvis forever. These are the things we know about him.

Say.. Thor wins their fight, but then what? Tony has access to the remains of an extremely powerful (it was created by ultron to defeat them after all) 'machine'.

In the comics, they use wonderman's brainwaves to give 'life' to vision right? When he returns to life he tells the avengers by doing that, they had "ripped away his soul". But we have no wonder man in the MCU, and that is just fine as we have two characters to potentially fill that role.

The obvious would be Jarvis, same actor, tony using an AI he knows and trusts to bring life to his new potential ally..makes sense.

The other option is a guy we know is in this movie, but we've only seen him present in one scene. That scene happens to take place relatively close to the beginning of the film, where ultron seemingly first reveals himself, Tony's party at avengers tower. That man would be James Rhodes, iron patriot/war machine.

He is basically absent for the rest of what we've seen. Although, there are set photos of him in a sling and alive, and apperantly at a set visit, the war machine armor has been seen on set.

I've long speculated before he was announced in the cast at all, before we knew the plot of this film, that rhodey was gonna bite the dust. The confirmation that tony in fact does create ultron makes this thought more concrete. Ultron has to actually kill some one in this film if he's to be a convincing threat, and joss whedon LOVES killing people in his work. And who better to kill, than your 'father's BFF? Who better to die in this film to motivate tony past his shame, and negative thoughts of being sorry for creating ultron to becoming determined to stop him?

Chris hemsworth revealed that Thor does go off-world to obtain something to battle ultron. This could easily be the soul gem. In the first trailer we hear Thor say (presumingly to Tony) "you're meddling with something you don't understand". And that could very well be tony using it to bring life to vision. This can apply to both theories.

Simply uploading Jarvis to visions body may not be enough. In the comics ultron has controlled or influenced the vision (long after becoming an avenger) against the avengers. After tony brings him back, this is very possible that they need an additional 'factor' to make this work.

In the third avengers trailer we get our first look at the vision in the film. Its about 1 second at the very end, we see his face. On that face of his we see what in the comics is a solar gem, that absorbs solar energy to power him and can release that energy in powerful blasts. BUT, what if that is the soul gem?

The visions face (and body from we've seen in concept art etc.) Is very sleek and streamlined. It looks robotic and futuristic yet, the yellow gem looks distorted and textured and glowing. This could simply be because it is a source of power, energy would create that glow, right? Buuuut it glows and has tones very similar to what infinity gems we've seen this far in the MCU.

The soul gem has been depicted in comics as varying colors, and in the MCU most of the gems we have seen havent matched their color scheme either.

@jinjo Just when I was about to decide that including the soul gem would be an act of laziness, you reignited my interest with that awesome theory, man. Great job!

good wrap up of the trailer. Everyone is speculating that is the Soul gem on the vision but I don't think that's the case. That's always been his solar gem which he's used to fire blast of energy out of.

@marzblackmann2 Yeah, I wouldn't think anything of it if it weren't for the fact that the Infinity War is right around the corner. They have to make the avengers aware of the Infinity Stones (gems) somehow and this is the last time they'll be together before the war begins. I really hope they just drop it out of nowhere at the start of IW1. I don't want them to have to explain it to the characters. Those films should just focus on the War itself.

Great comment, I like your observations and I also think its the Soul Gem. IDK about killing off Rhodey tho. I think Ultron will create enough strife in his life by having one of his 3 BFFs (Rhodey, Happy and Jarvis) becoming a threat to humanity hand having to fight him himself without his help. Adding the Soul gem to the Vision would give him the strength to break free of Ultrons control. Ive said before in other threads that I don’t think that any of the Big four will make it thru the next 2 movies intact. Thor will be killed and sent to valhalla by Ultron, Hulk will be shipped off planet, Cap will die by Crossbones in Civil War and Tony will quit at the end of CW. This leave the MCU more vulnerable than they have ever been since the beginning and leaves and opening for heroes like War Machine, Vision, Panther, Spidey, Strange, Cap Marvel to step up.
