Quicksilver May Still Be Dead In The MCU, But He Is Getting An AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Marvel Legends Figure

Quicksilver fans were left disappointed that the character wasn't resurrected in WandaVision, but Aaron Taylor-Johnson's speedster is getting his own Marvel Legends action figure a little later this year.

WandaVision resurrected Pietro Maximoff after his death in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but we'd later learn that the Quicksilver we met in Westview was, in fact, an out of work actor called Ralph Bohner who was being manipulated by Agatha Harkness.

However, Quicksilver fans can still get their fix with an upcoming Marvel Legends action figure featuring the likeness of Aaron Taylor-Johnson's speedster. That costume is still a little underwhelming, and Wanda's transformation into the Scarlet Witch shows how far the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come since 2015.

"Quicksilver's ultra-high-speed capabilities are a major asset to the Avengers in the fight against Ultron," reads the official description for the figure. "Wanda's brother from Avengers: Age of Ultron makes his Marvel Legends debut with this awesome 6-inch action figure! The Avengers Infinity Saga Marvel Legends Series Quicksilver 6-inch Action Figure not only has an amazing likeness of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but you can swap out Pietro's alternate hands or let him be displayed with parts of the robot Ultron."

Quicksilver getting his own action figure is long overdue, and this release is sure to be welcomed by fans of the character. Unfortunately, as WandaVision made clear, he's not being resurrected anytime soon...unless it happens in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, of course!

Check out some photos of the figure below:

Bring him back you hacks! Just kidding, that's like if the Avengers find out Coulson was still alive haha

Killing him off was still bullshit and there was no reason for it other than to satiate Whedon's death boner.

@BritishMonkey - they could've still made him sacrafice his life for Hawkeye buy in a less dumb way. A speedster killed by bullets is very lame.

I still remember feeling weird about Marvel introducing Pietro and Wanda without the rest of the Fox rights. Felt like an odd leap for Feige to approve, when it came to considering if they ever got [the rest of those rights] back or not.

Regardless I still think they should have introduced only one other member in Age of Ultron, besides Vision. Rights stuff aside, even just visually speaking Pietro and Wanda made the AoU cast look unnecessarily cluttered. Just me though.

I love how at the time, Under Armour had that massive deal with the MCU, for Winter Soldier, and AOU.

So Quicksilvers costume was literally just Under Armour clothing. Some real CW budgeting there lol

@Se4M4NSt4ine - yeah I’ve always felt the lack of love for Quicksilver in Ultron was even more obvious by the lack of budget on his costume.

@FunkyFeige - I actually got to speak with the design team at Marvel to ask about the design of the costume and they did in fact design the costume, not Under Armour. Its made with collaboration towards Under Armour material but its given the same care and thought as every other MCU costume.

That said, I would love to see what they come up with now after Captain America and WandaVision.

I'm working on a modern style take myself, mostly inspired by the Children's Crusade costume and other various influences.

I liked AOU, not loved, but liked. After seeing how boring Whedon made Flash in the JL Theatrical release compared to Snyder in his Cut, I kinda wish we got a cool sequence with Quicksilver doing something ultra cool in slow motion...

@PC04 - Wanda could look for him in another universe during DS2.
