Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver make their debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it's unclear how or whether the twins will play into future Marvel movies. In a new interview with Buzzfeed, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson shed some light on their future with Marvel.

When asked whether Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver would become permanent members of the Avengers, Taylor-Johnson said his future is "up in the air." Meanwhile, Olsen confirmed that she was committed to one other Marvel movie after Age of Ultron. She added: "I have no idea what's in store. Like, not a clue. But I like the character so much. I can't wait to steal stories from the comics. I think it'd be really fun."

Taylor-Johnson also talks about the close relationship between the twins in Age of Ultron. "He's like 'Don't talk to my sister. Don't touch my sister,'" he told Buzzfeed. "He's kind of fatherly in that physical, aggressive kind of way. And there are times where you see that she's consoling him and kind of nurturing him in a motherly way. He's quite a vulnerable person. They both are."

In the same article, director Joss Whedon notes that there was originally more of the twins' backstory in the film, but it was cut for time. "They don't like America, and they don't like the Avengers," Whedon said. "We only touch on it briefly - there was more. When the movie was an hour longer, everything got explained." Whedon also confirms that Age of Ultron will be a minute shorter than the first Avengers film, clocking in at 142 minutes.

hot damn, that is consistent where consistency needs to remain consistent..All other changes need to be improvements, which I'm confident they are based on what we've seen; longer doesn't necessarily mean better.

Isn't it highly likely that up in the air means on the moon (probably being somehow transported there) only to return in inhumans as a way to connect them?

'Whedon said he had made it known within the Marvel offices that his plan was always to use Quicksilver in Avengers 2. “And then, you know, months after I started, they were like, [Days of Future Past] just changed Juggernaut to Quicksilver. I’m like, What?!”'

As much as I enjoyed Fox's QS, "let Marvel know early/made decision early on" my ass.

i think QuickSliver will die but he will be also resurrected for Infinity Wars p1 (ending of part 1,perhaps) Why? Because Aaron will probably own Avengers 2 and the studio (Marvel will soon know that they made mistake by killing him) forced by demands of the fans will have to bring him back.

Aaron probably means "up in the air" because his character most likely dies and he has no idea to when he might appear again. He wouldn't be saying that unless he had signed a multi-film deal -otherwise he say he's one-and-done.

I am curious to Elizabeth confirming that she's signed on for ONE other Marvel film. I don't think Feige will waste an appearance in Civil War or Doctor Strange. Most likely she's only in one of the Infinity Wars. I thought she would be in more movies than just 2 appearances. So hopefully she is signed for more or Marvel renegotiates for more. At this rate, none of the actors except the GOTG cast, Sebastian Stan and the new actors in Phase 3 will make it to Phase 4.

I was secretly hoping that the Dr. Cho character would be used as a Wasp replacement so Marvel Studios could do Jocasta. If this is the only Ultron movie, I wanted everything connected to his character from Vision's creation to Jocasta in this movie. Even it's just a hint of that character. With the movie cutting out so much, it looks like Joss is keeping a tight leash on the story. Age Of Ultron is one movie that I had no problem it clocking in at 3 hours. THere is just so much material. I hope there a lot of deleted scenes on the blu-ray.

You guys realize that Joss is contracted to deliver a 2 and half hour movie. That's why it's been cut down. Studios like to have their movies shorter so they can play more times in day at a movie theatre.

dammit he really does die. I want to see SW and Vision hit it off sometime down the line. Also....when the BluRay is released....GIVE US THE ONE HOUR EXTENDED DIRECTOR'S CUT!
