Elizabeth Olsen Expected To Use An "English" Accent For THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Another report has confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen is in talks to join the cast of The Avengers: Age of Ultron as 'The Scarlet Witch', but following the rumour that she will be expected to use a "European" accent, it has now been narrowed down to actually being an "English" one.

When Bleeding Cool first revealed that Elizabeth Olsen was being considered by Marvel Studios for the role of The Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, they mentioned that the Martha Marcy May Marlene and Liberal Arts star would be required to use a "European" accent in the movie. Well, in an article over at The Wrap in which they reaffirm earlier reports that the actress is "nearing a deal" to play the character in the Joss Whedon helmed sequel, they mention that "Olsen would also be expected to don an English accent, according to one insider." They also mention that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is still in talks to play Quicksilver, and this seemingly confirms that both his and Olsen's brother/sister duo will in fact be British in the movie. How do you guys feel about this?

I am bilingual, I can understand Australian English, Canadian English, British English and American English. :)

Eh I don't care what they sound like. I always thought the Witch had that European not quite Italian but somewhat type accent. Again not in love with the character so they could speak Swahili for all I care.

Aww [frick] NO...[frick] that...she's goign to ruin it...she's going to use that campy register every actor uses when attempting an English accent...the snob accent or the BBC accent(BBC...giggity) or the Queen's accent.......seriously....that sucks.

Actually, Fassbender had an Irish accent(with hints of German due to his heritage), Mcavoy a Scottish accent, Ian Mckellen a British accent and Patrick Stewart an English accent. They are different

Are people really going to complain about an international spy ditching her distinctive Russian accent? Like do you know how stupid it is to have such a defining thing when you're supposed to be a spy.

Do you guys remember that toy from when you where three years old? The one where you pulled the lever and the arrow spun to an animal? Then the voice box inside would say, "The cow says: MOOOOOOOOO."

The fanboy says: GIMME GIMME GIMME

Seriously, you guys are never thankful for anything. All you should expect is that:
A) all characters should resemble the core of the comic character (Comic Fury is manipulative, Movie Fury is manipulative- race doesn't matter unless it's central to the character).
And B) The movie should do all it can to be simply a good movie, not a "comic book movie".

McKellan and Stewart, are both from England, they would both have English accents. McAvoy - Scotland (part of great Britain), Fassbender - German, Northern Ireland. (Northern Ireland part of Great Britain), so all 4 would use British accents, from different areas.
