While sitting down with Collider, Elizabeth Olsen (who will play Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron) revealed how the costume she wears came to be constructed (in the film). “For the film, that world is very specific so it’s almost like hospitalish, and the way that we designed costume and character is based off of these two kids being on their own and using whatever they can to their best ability.” On the set, she tells how Joss Whedon didn't want to go with her comic book look and how Alexandra Byrne (the costume designer) was really clever at designer her costume. "Well, the first thing Joss ever said to me before I even got the job when we were first meeting, he said, ‘When you look at the images, look at the comics, know that we are not making you look like that. You will not have to wear bathing suits or look like a porn star’ [Laughs]. So that made me feel great and then Alex [Alexandra Byrne] –who’s our costume designer– is really clever in being able to take the images and the iconic ideas of these characters and these comics on these cartoons, and adapt them to some sort of modern day world."

She then tells how Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch do what they have to do to survive. “If they see a street vendor, they just grab something off the street vendor, so it hints to Eastern Europe but it’s also kind of this gypsy, vagabond feel as well.” Besides her costume, she talked about the powers Scarlet Witch possesses and how she will already have a good understanding of them, “No, we made the decision that she’s already been able. Because we played with the idea of how much can she do yet in the beginning of the film, and at first it was like not much.” She then continued, "But we’ve kind of decided to have her hone in to understand some sort of strength to her abilities. But then they do grow, there’s definitely a sense of confidence that she knows what she’s doing from the start.” After she tells us that she doesn’t think her powers can manipulate robots, she explains the force behind her red energy blast. "I can control energy. I can manipulate energy. So that’s what the red stuff is that we’re playing with."

She also revealed that not only Pietro will have some humor in the film, but (to her) Hawkeye is pretty funny as well. "I think there’s humor with her brother, I think there’s a lot of humor there. Jeremy Renner’s character is hilarious for some reason to me [Laughs]. He’s like a big grump, he’s really funny, he’s always complaining." She continues by saying she thinks the interaction between the twins is quite funny. "But the humor that I have would be more like being the –Because I think that Quicksilver/Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), his energy, we’re like Ying and Yang almost and I think that interaction to me is funny. But it’s not funny, I’m not saying like funny [Tony] Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) lines.”

As for director Joss Whedon, Elizabeth Olsen says that she had a fun time working with him, while revealing that she'd be up to play the role as Scarlet Witch much more. "I wouldn’t mind continuing to do this for quite some time because I’m having so much fun working on Scarlet Witch/Wanda, she’s so awesome. I think Joss [Whedon] is excited by her also, and so the two of us kind of dork out a bit and it’s pretty fun." I can't get over how much a fantastic actress she is so early in her career.
You guys need to see some of her past indie work if you haven't already.

She's a great choice for Wanda and everything she and Aaron have described about the relationship of SW and QS has been spot on, I really hope we get to see them develop this in future movies (and that he doesn't die like rumour suggests)

Still desperately wish she had her probability powers, but I guess wielding "energy" and being a psychic is fine.

But man, loving everything I've heard from Hawkeye. They've really nailed him down. This movie will be something special.

I think that image in the article is her looking at or possibly bringing to life, the Vision.

So, does anyone care that Scarlet Witch has a completely different set of powers than in the comics? They should've just went with Wonder Man.

@blackandyellow I like the idea of her power evolving, especially if she shows up in other films like DOCTOR STRANGE.

They're going down the mystical route which isn't my favourite Wanda but I'm just hoping Fox's SW (which has to appear) will have probability powers.

Her being in civilian clothing makes even more sense given the reason she stated. I wonder if her and QS are gonna have some Ultimate Alliance tag team moves in this.
