"What is it called?" Gwyneth Paltrow asked HitFix during their interview for her upcoming film, in which she stars alongside The Hulk Mark Ruffulo, Thanks for Sharing. "'Age of Ultron,' okay. Well, no, I don't think [I'll be in it]. I haven't heard any...my phone has not rung for 'Avengers 2.'" The interviewer then asked if she'd like to suit up in the "Rocket" armor, referring to Pepper's own Rescue suit. "That would be fun," said Paltrow. "[But] I thought Rescue was her name."

So far starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in negotiations to join, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon from his screenplay, and is slated to begin production in March 2014 and release on May 1, 2015.

Yeah i don't expect Pepper to show up in Avengers 2, but i do agree with her about the lack of female superheroes. We need more of that.

I dont mind Pepper showing up in Avengers 2 because of the role she takes in the company but i would have a problem with her suiting up in the movie especially since Rhodey hasn't even been acknowledged in the Avengers.

Didn't she say she wasn't in the first Avengers, and then sure enough, there she was?

It would be awesome to see her as Rescue, imo.
Not sure if that's gonna happen, with Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, plus apparently beefed up roles for Hawkeye and Black Widow.

Ah man, Tony and Pepper are my favourite CBM couple.
Gwyneth and RDJ have great chemistry.

They're a CBM couple where the relationship is pretty much equal, their personalities bounce off of each other.

So yes, I want to see more Pepper Potts. She's a great character played perfectly by Paltrow.
I remember when she said she didn't receive a call about Avengers and probably wasn't going to be in it.

There's still plenty of time before production goes underway so I'm sure she'll be back, especially if Stark is creating Ultron (according to rumours)

@staypuffed Yeah she denied being in the film for ages and then it was confirmed when she was shown in one of the international trailers.

She'll probably pop up for a scene or 2 in Age of Ultron.

I think they'll see how well TWS is received before determining which female supporting cast they want to borrow from the solo films. My bet is on Emily VanCamp getting a bigger role in A2.

I think she could fit within the story, especially with all these theories on how Tony Stark is Ultron's creator/JARVIS becoming Ultron. She'd most likely be placed in danger again like always. But when it comes to being an Avenger, I don't think she will become one.

I would love to see her in A2 and kick some ass. She also has great chemistry with RDJ and their scenes are always fun to watch. I would actually bet some good money on the possibility that she will be in A2!

She seems pretty cool. I'd love to see all the leading ladies in Avengers 2. Imagine seeing Betty Ross, Jane Foster, and Pepper Potts all in the same room with their men. Could make for some hilarious moments

Rescue was a terrible creation. Leave pepper alone she rocked in IM but got worse with every new movie

I'm not a big Gwyneth Paltrow fan generally, but I have to say that Marvel's casting of her as Pepper Potts was brilliant.

She is the quintessential Pepper. And I think next to RDJ she is the best casting choice Marvel has made in ALL of their movies. No one else fit the role so completely, so perfectly.

So here's to you Ms. Paltrow
