Leaked Clip From AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Has Resurfaced In Better Quality

Though it's still in low-quality, a better version has surfaced of the leaked Avengers: Age of Ultron clip in which things get heated between Cap and Iron Man while woodchopping at Hawkeye's farm.

By DCMarvelFreshman - Oct 31, 2014 09:10 PM EST
During Marvel Studios' big event earlier this week, a clip from next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron was shown to seemingly sow the seeds for 2016's Captain America: Civil War, which will evidently pit Chris Evans' Super Soldier against Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. The scene, which takes place at a farm that is said to be owned by Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) following a big Ultron battle, features the two Avengers engaging in heated dialogue (which you can read below thanks to Tumblr). Well, there have been low-quality recordings of this clip making the rounds all week, but now a better version has surfaced. And given Marvel may not release the clip officially anytime soon, unless it features in the second exclusive look at Age of Ultron that's coming on Tuesday, check it out below!

TONY: Thor didn’t say where he’s going to get answers? STEVE: Sometimes my teammates don’t tell me things. I was kinda hoping Thor would be the exception. TONY: Yeah, in time. We don’t know what the Maximoff kid showed him. STEVE: I don’t know what she showed you. It’s enough to make you do something stupid. STEVE: “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” — pulled us apart like cotton candy. TONY: Well, it seems that you walked away alright. STEVE: Is that a problem? TONY: I don’t trust a guy without a dark side. Call me old-fashioned. STEVE: Well, let’s just say you haven’t seen it yet. TONY: Banner and I have been doing this research— STEVE: —that would affect the team— TONY: —that would END the team! Isn’t that the mission? Isn’t that the “why” we fight, so we can end the fight, so we get to go home?? STEVE: Every time someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die. Every time. What do you think?

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure. Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963. Get set for an action-packed thrill ride when The Avengers return in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015.

And quite refreshing after the way his self-esteem was represented in The Avengers

Can Wanda/Scarlet Witch mess with people's minds/show them visions in the comics?

I re-watched The Winter Soldier earlier today, and man does that make me even more hyped for Age of Ultron. The First Avenger established Cap's fundamental character, he became a leader in The Avengers, The Winter Soldier stripped away any kind of naivety and ignorance he may have had, Age of Ultron will see him having to confront Tony over his mistakes, and Civil War should build on that and escalate to full-blown conflict.

I can't freaking wait.

@SauronsBANE

The evolution of Cap was well thought out. I love the Cap we are just now getting; but I still can't help but be a little bitter about his Avengers representation. I can definitely see AOU is an evolved version of TWS Cap

Avengers Cap was necessary, I can see that; no need in being pissed about character progression.

@MarkyMarkRises It absolutely was. To be honest, I do prefer the balls-out, hardcore Cap we got in The Winter Soldier and the extension of that which it looks like we're getting in Age of Ultron...but I'm with Nomis on this one. The way he was portrayed in The Avengers was just so essential to where he ended up in The Winter Soldier.

I was thinking of this before: it's crazy to me that The First Avenger, The Avengers, and The Winter Soldier can pretty much be considered a Cap trilogy, and I can only hope that Age of Ultron and Civil War somehow manage to continue Cap's journey while also doing everything else that needs to be done for the rest of the characters. I don't envy what Whedon, the Russo brothers, and everyone else involved with these movies have to do in the next few years!

My favorite Cap scene in Avengers is how he's the one giving the orders and everyone do what he says, even Stark.
It's hard to put a lot of things in 2 hours 15 minutes but Whedon put enough little scenes to develop some relationships in Age of Ultron

I think the same about Cap. Feige has said since the beggining that Cap would be an essential part of the universe and so far that's the case.

What I can't wait to see is Thor 3, I now a lot of people don't like his movies but Feige said Ragnarok would be the Winter Soldier for Thor and just as important for the universe

@0megaDaGod Oh man, all I know is that the payoff is going to be amazing. I already have the defining moment written inside my head haha: By the end of part 2, Thanos lays waste to whatever the Avengers team look like by then, Cap picks himself off the ground, holding his shield in one hand, finds that he's finally worthy to pick up mjolnir, and has one final glorious standoff against the most evil son of a gun anyone's ever had to face.

It says a lot that I'm perfectly willing to wait (as excruciating as that wait will be) and see how everything develops in the next few years before we ever even get close to that moment (if it even happens). I've already been hooked on the story and the characters by now. Time to just sit back and enjoy the rest of the ride!

@Bekss Yeah, I've yet to be blown away by Thor in these movies so far, but the way that Feige was building up Thor:Ragnorok really makes me curious to see how they tackle that. God knows Thor needs a reinvention like The Winter Soldier was for Cap.

@0megaDaGod

Really? Mine's, at least Marvel wise, has been ol' Cap. Such a pure, good person. I love the progression of his character so far, as @MarkyMarkRises, Nomis and SauronsBANE noted. It's weird for me, I love Cap, enjoy THos, and like Hulk, but Tony has never been a character I really enjoyed. I know it's comic accuarate and everything, but as a chracter, TOny felt very non-heroic and somewhat boring to me. THis is a very unpopular opinion I know, but despite Downey's glowing charisma and pretty good movies, I just have a hard time liking Tony. When Civil War comes around, it will be so easy to side with Cap, not nly in the political stance we would have that is very similar, but I find Cap SO much more likable.
