Lou Ferrigno Confident In Another Solo HULK Movie After THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

While Mark Ruffalo reacts to Joss Whedon's script for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the original Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno insists without a doubt that a new solo film will follow the superhero reassembly.

Following the positive response to the Incredible Hulk in The Avengers last year, speculation ensued surrounding another solo adventure for the Jade Giant. There were even credible rumors of Marvel Studios adapting the Planet Hulk storyline and leading into a World War Hulk Movie. But of course several Marvel guys have since smashed those rumors. So, we don't know exactly what's in store for Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and "the other guy" after assembling with The Avengers again in the 2015 Age of Ultron. Nonetheless, speaking with Flicks And The City recently, the original Hulk actor/bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno is pretty darn sure another solo movie is in the pipeline at Marvel:

Lou Ferrigno most likely isn't in the know when it comes to Marvel's unannounced flicks, but the studio's president of production, Kevin Feige, did declare not too long ago that if there are plans for another Hulk movie, they'd be after The Avengers sequel. And there are three 2016-17 Marvel films without titles right now, so who knows? Anyhow, Mark Ruffalo took to Twitter a couple days ago to reveal he had received Joss Whedon's script for the Age of Ultron. Today, the actor simply tweeted (and later deleted) "Wow!" with Marvel's and Whedon's Twitter handles. What do you think?

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in negotiations to join, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon from his screenplay, and is slated to begin production in March 2014 and release on May 1, 2015.

i hope there is another solo hulk movie, and hopefully its not pretty much ignored like the last hulk movie, the one thing about the avengers that annoys me is that joss wheadon just seems to ignore big events in previous movies, for example, iron man 2 (oh tony you can't be an avenger, just a consultant) then we get to avengers (this isn't a bout profiles anymore) pretty much ignoring what happened before, and then iron man 3. he [frick]ing blows up all his suits and throws away the reactor. Then suddenly joss wheadon said in avengers 2, tony still has the reactor and a spare suit? then wtf was the point of the end to iron man 3 then? don't pull that crap anymore marvel

Ferringo is awesome and its pretty sweet of Marvel to still use his voice for the Hulk. I hope Hulk does get another solo movie (and maybe Ferringo can cameo).

I thought the Hulk was the best character in "The Avengers" movie. He deserves another solo film.

Where could they really go with him after AoU? Planet/WW Hulk? I don't think that's a storyline that would be very fitting for live action.

Hopefully the studio will bring back The Leader if the studio decides to do another Hulk solo film. Maybe we'll get a World War Hulk film in the future.

I knew it!!

I'm sticking to my Phase 3 roster until marvel confirms otherwise early next year...

-Ant-Man (2015)
-Doctor Strange (2016)
-Thor 3 (2016)
-Black Panther (2017)
-Captain America 3 (2017)
-The Indestructible Hulk (2018)
-Avengers 3 (2018)

If not those release date years I'm highly certain that these films will be in the the next phase for sure.

Bring on The Leader, Doc Samson and Gamma World! :D !!!

That is so funny, me and my boys were just watching Incredible Hulk tonight on BluRay. And we are all saying the movie was really good and why has there been no follow up with the Leader etc.....

Haha, mannn I just got my Blu-Ray film of Incredible Hulk from Amazon. I'm waiting for iron man 1 so I can continue my marvel movie collection. One day I'll just sit back and watch them all in a row back to back. lol

But yeah The Incredible Hulk is most certainly one of my favorite Phase 1 marvel movies. I loved the tone of the movie I loved the fight between him and Abomination and the first time he turned into the hulk in the movie was amazing and very thrilling as well.

For the comment that things were ignored from Iron Man 2 regarding Tony's role... Iron Man 2 takes place before The Incredible Hulk, in which Tony is a consultant... then of course this gets mentioned AGAIN when Coulson recruits Stark... someone isn't paying attention.

I think an earth-set Hulk sequel in Phase 3 could be great, the notion rumored a while back was essentially Hulk being an agent of SHIELD that they 'unleash' at whatever threats they deem necessary, and in return they fund his scientific endeavors which he is trying to use to make the world a better place. "Hulk smashes, Banner builds".

That's a great concept that gets away from the 'battling and running from military' idea. I think bringing in The Leader and or Red Hulk could be a pretty compelling story-line. Of course something entirely new could work too, I suppose.

THEN Phase 4 is where I would like to see them do Planet Hulk, and then for the the 4th Avengers film, simply make it World War Hulk.

Lol @@ B&Y

I was waiting for one of those comments!

As for another solo hulk movie...I say put it out between A2 and A3....if marvel wants to be ballsy, make it Planet Hulk. Then have him follow Thanos back to earth for A3. If they play conservative, go with B&Y's idea.

That film would make hundreds of dollars.

I always wanted to see a sequel to The Incredible Hulk with Norton but at least I will be able to see what Mark can do in his own movie. They better acknowledge TIH so it finally feels part of the continuity.

They have many options with possible next Hulk film. It can be buddy co-op movie like for example, with Iron man.
or
HULK vs Wolverine
or
Somekind of story line, Ross gets Hulk on the move again and ISOLATED somewhere where he can hunt him etc.
or
May fav one, HULK NEEDS TO GO OUT OF SPACE ;) bring Planet Hulk or maybe some story line with LOKI....

They should give up on a Hulk solo, they have a pretty good gauge having released two Hulk films with almost polar opposite tones. One was a psychological, mature, beautifully directed underrated film. The other a mindless beat em up, the whole movie makes me cringe whenever it focus on Tim Roth's character, it was all forced second rate bologna. Yet both films almost definantly appealed to a wide variety of audience and nether did that well. It would be a total waste of Marvel's money to retread this path.

Maybe during the events of Avengers 3 Thanos teleports the Hulk into space (using the Tesseract/Space gem obviously) to get rid of him during the final confrontation and he ends up on Sakaar.

WOW

that's not a lot to write an article on - but you did so well done.

OK so Hulk gets sent into the past to kill Hank Pym but Wolverine is still the same so he fights Hulk and kills Pym so Vision never gets made and Ultron stays good. Jocosta has a root with the Recorder and Machine man and Cyborg and that other half robot guy. Then she has a baby called Cable but doesn't know who its real Dad is so she goes to space and asks the Watcher who is a sick cosmic perv.
