New Report Claims That Aaron Taylor-Johnson Has Officially Signed Up For THE AVENGERS Sequel

Aaron Taylor-Johnson talked in great detail about Quicksilver at this July's San Diego Comic-Con, but refused to confirm whether or not he was cast in the movie. Well, a new report claims that is now 100%!

They'll star alongside each other in Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, and it now appears as if Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen will follow that up with starring roles in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. After Samuel L. Jackson seemingly confirmed earlier reports that Olsen has indeed signed up to play the Scarlet Witch in the Joss Whedon helmed superhero ensemble, Latino-Review now says that Johnson's deal is closed and he will officially play Quicksilver in the movie. Marvel have recently gotten into the habit of confirming casting rumours via their own site, so it's likely that we'll now get actual confirmation of this sooner rather than later! Some Ant-Man casting would be amazing right about now. I'm more excited for Ant-Man than any other Marvel movie coming out. Not to say I'm not excited for the other marvel movies coming out. I cant wait for Age of Ultron or GOTG. But to the casting of Aaron, I guess it's cool.

yes, this is obvious, so it's not really a confirmation, but LR has been on point for the past couple of months (Ronan confirming audition for Ep VII, Cumberbatch playing coy, Bradley Cooper, Josh Brolin for Batman, etc)

Ok, I am being mean here os attacking anybody.
I loved the Avengers movies, i loved all the movies from Phase 1 and Phase 2 kicked off great with Ironman 3.
But all these reports of how big the Avengers 2 is going to be, it making me very nervous. I know in cartoon and in the comic book world you can have tons of characters and it works beautifully, the more the better, but it concerns me because the film medium is different than the comic book world.
I am worried that there is too much star power in this movie already and it feels like every second day new charaters and new actors arebeing brought into this movie. The only way I can see this thing working out perfectly is if the movie is no less than 3.5 hours long

Yeah it may be weird seeing them as lovers in Godzilla then siblings in Avengers.
BUT they'll look very different, their characters will be different and they're capable enough actors to really tackle that transition effectively.

I know this is a long shot but with Marvel not confirming their casting yet and filming about to start I wonder if Marvel trying to pull a fast one on us with QuickSilver by using the same quicksilver from Xmen DOFP I know theyre at different studios but you would think the cast would be set now

At first I wanted antman and black panther in the A2 just like the majority of everyone else.. But after thinking bout it I think this is the smart move.. Becuz we might be getting Antman, black panther, and Doctor Strange in phase 3 solo movies so Avengers 3 will have the fool roster plus more( Guardians) to go up against thanos.. That's why I was so thrilled RDJ was coming back for A3 so we can finally see the ironman and antman interacting with each other.. Now I see what Joss meant when he said "they're going more deeper and personal for avengers 2" so they can go all in for Avengers 3.. In the end the Avengers trilogy will be best CBM trilogy of all time and I love the TDK trilogy.

The Olsen story has hit the mainstream press and now this with ATJ. Marvel needs to put an official release soon or someone is going to have egg on their face.

I think Joss will do fine with the large cast. The guy does his best with an ensemble. And people have to realize that everyone will not have the same amount of time.

Supporting characters like Hill and Fury should have less time than the Avengers. Joss will have to service the guys who have their own movies. I'm sure he will give Widow and Hawkeye more time as well. But most of these characters will share the screen together so it will not be like they are doing separate stories. The villains will like meld into the heroes stories so I think there will be plenty of screen time for everyone.
