There Are No Strings On 'Ultron' In New Promo Art For AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

We've seen him in action in the action-packed trailer for Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, but now some very cool and legit looking promo art for the sequel has found its way online featuring the titular villain who will be voiced by James Spader (The Blacklist). Check it out!

The leaks keep on coming! First it was the trailer, and now some new promo art from Avengers: Age of Ultron featuring the lead villain has surfaced (thanks to Twitter user @galliettd for the heads up). With anything like this, there's always the possibility that it's fan made, but I don't think so somehow, and it's unlikely anyone could put together an image as good as this in such a short amount of time! What do you guys think of this latest look at the Ultron? Personally, I'm betting this is him BEFORE he heads to Wakanda and gets a makeover courtesy of Vibranium...
Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson and hits May 1st, 2015.

I bet the EW cover is the final form & this is MKII/III

That EW covered looked terrible. There's less room for facial expression to come through in that design. The design at the end of the trailer is absolutely perfect.

This is definitely his Mark 2 form. Not my favourite form, I can't wait for this to form.

Anyone else like to think that Ultron's transformations are like the Doctor's?

Why wouldn't the humanoid face be final? Giving yourself the ability to show facial expression seems like an upgrade to me.

I don't think they would make Ultron downgrade his face just to appease the fans.

"I'm going to show you something...beautiful. Everyone, screaming for mercy...you want to save the world, but you don't want it to change. You are all puppets, tangled in...strings...strings. But now I'm free...there are no strings on me."

The trailer still gives me goosebumps.

I think the fact that Ultron molds himself into a human like robot is terrifying , and him showing how easily robots could replace us

I think his face is ruined by that overly humanoid look. The eyes are just wrong.

Why would he go from a non-humanoid face to Humanoid face and then back to non-humanoid face? it makes no sense in terms of progression.

The humanoid looking Ultron is clearly going to be his final form.

Eh, to each his own I guess.
I think that final look he gives the camera is just sinister.

It looks legit. I also did an image search using Google to see if it came from a fan, I didn't find any other sources.

I would say this is the real deal.

ScionStorm

@HAILHYDRA Ultron isn't about facial expression. He's about voice, dialogue, and body gestures. That's how his personality has always been expressed. That frozen face devoid of fluid expression in an iconic aspect of his character. Relying on Ultron having facial expressions is about as corner-cutting as giving Daredevil special glasses that allow him to see normal.
Wannabe
Wannabe - 10/23/2014, 5:25 PM
Maybe he eventually wears a helmet or something? All I know is the humanoid look isn't the final Mark III so getting ass-blasted over it is pointless.

@TheFirstAvenger97

Thanks, batz11. Not me.

Joss Whedon even said he will take somewhat a human form before having his big final form, that he said looks more like his traditional comic counterpart

Not to mention, using just James Spader's voice for the non-moving robot face would have been a waste of his time. I'd rather he do the work to his ability rather than phone it in like Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid V.
WhiteSAMURAI
WhiteSAMURAI - 10/23/2014, 5:28 PM
Eh, humanoid form makes sense. Just look at the Green Goblin from the first Spider-Man. Most people think he looks like an emotionless action figure. While an original take on Ultron wouldn't be as bad as the Green Goblin I still can see why they thought a more expressive face would be better.
