Twitter Buzz: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

The twittersphere reacts to the first trailer for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Age of Ultron! Here are the most popular, insightful and humorous tweets regarding the second, cinematic adventure for Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Feature Opinion

Lots of jokes out there about Ultron rocking two blue-tooth pieces. Stand-alone Star Wars movie script writer Gary Whitta apparently had some notes for Joss Whedon to make the robotic menace ever more "douchey".
Josh Costella of Modern Myth Media raises an interesting point on similarities between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Are Marvel repeating villainous motivations in wanting to make the world safe through excessive force?
Editor/writer/director Robert Meyer Burnett has a suggestion for how WB can take down Marvel at the superhero box office.
A lot of fans would second producer Daniel Alter's sentiments.
Forget the Hulkbuster Armor. Surely Stark is going to make the Thorbuster armor after being manhandled by Loki and now Thor. The Destroyer armor should still be in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, right?
Buzzfeed's Ellie Hall touches on a moment in the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer that features ballerinas. Many specualte that this will be a flashback scene for Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, one where she tries to sort through implanted memories, a la Wolverine and Weapon X.
One of the funniest parody accounts on Twitter.
Unimpressed with the trailer?

"So...Stark's motivation for creating Ultron is basically the same motivation SHIELD had for Project Insight minus the intended murder."

"Are Marvel repeating villainous motivations in wanting to make the world safe through excessive force?"

Not really. SHIELD wanted Project Insight to take care of threats before they ever even became a problem. They knew it was excessive, they knew it was unethical, and they did it anyway. HYDRA co-opting those helicarriers for their plot was just poetic justice/irony.

From everything we've heard about Age of Ultron, Tony 'reactivates' the Ultron peacekeeping project so that the Avengers don't have to stretch themselves thin dealing with every. single. threat. Obviously, things go awry and Tony doesn't anticipate Ultron figuring that he needs to cause the extinction of humanity. He had the best intentions, but just didn't plan for the worst.

Very different motivations, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprise if Stark creating the Ultron program which goes horribly wrong is the basis of the Cap/Iron Man civil war storyline in Captain America 3.

@DraculaX agreed. Neither have superpowers, unless you consider their enormous bank accounts and being geniuses counts as a superpower.

Only difference, without his suit Bruce Wayne is still one of the most skilled fighters in comic history.

Oh dear God. Please tell me you didn't just use the word "GamerGate" without being ironic? Congrats, you've just let the world know your opinion is completely invalid. Go back to twitter and that awful hashtag, where your sexist, misogynistic, borderline terrorist buddies are currently causing even more abuse to innocent victims.
