Was Natalie Portman Asked To Appear In THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

In a brief video interview with Collider, Portman discusses a few things relating to her turn as Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World, but is also asked if she's been approached to reprise the role yet again in Joss Whedon's Avengers sequel.

In the following video interview, Natalie Portman talks about how much action Jane Foster sees in Thor: The Dark World, the amount of humor in the movie, and also a few deleted scenes involving her character. She's then asked about possibly returning once again for The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. As of now she says "no", but she's definitely game if Marvel make her the offer.



I'm not sure that'd happen, but who knows! Would you guys like to see her return?

Kind of sounded like she was talking about Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3, even though extremis helped her kick ass.

Ugh...just what I wanted more [frick]ing comedy. If the humor is as oddly placed as Iron Man 3, then [frick] this. I wanted to see this movie the "grand and epic scale" not more comedy. And now it looks like the "epic scale" of the film was all bullshit too, since the movie is only 110 minutes long.

So i guess we can rule out her death in Thor 2? Thanks for the spoiler. The preview actually hints at Foster's possible death.....well....guess not. I guess that takes that bit of suspense right out. I really hate that.

I wish that for continuity, when Widow went to get Banner in India that Betty was with him. The throwaway comment about putting Jane in protective custody was ok, but it would've been cool to see her hanging out with Pepper.

Just like TASM,TDKR,IM3 and MOS, this movie is likely going to be hated by members of this site. I guess people would bitch about the movie been too short and have too much comedy.

@Jojo1982- All marvel movies are going to be lighthearted and have plenty amount of humour. I don't think marvel would ever make a movie with similar tone to Nolan batman movies or MOS.

This would be cool and it makes sense, her character is a scientist.

As long as Darcy doesn't make an appearance, why does she still appear in those Thor films i will never know.
