Did you notice the size of the Iron Man arm and reactor in Iron Man's assembly? Many people think could be the Hulk Buster Armor....

Look at the arm.... it's HUGE.. and the reactor gives us time to think....

Could we see Iron Man vs Hulk in Avengers?

WOW great eye, I didnt realize how huge the arm and arc reactor was. I mean look how big the triangle is on his chest. It has to be the Hulkbuster armor!!!

You know I wish that in the movie that Hulk gets controlled by Loki Or Amora The Enchantress(I hope) and then gets in fights with The Avengers!!!

I'd hope so, but I really doubt they'll have time to make that confrontation justice, maybe its a similar armor to fight Loki and his army

I really hope this movie is 2 hours plus, like the Transformers movies. So many things going on it will be a shame if its less then 2 hours.

Didn't they say Tony would have multiple armors in this movie?

Heh, that would be awesome if so. :) Everyone thumb up to put this on the main! I thought that Joss would probably put this suit in there, just not going to show any footage probably of it so it will be a surprise.

@teabag yeah if it would be the hulkbuster armor it would be way bigger

Ehhhh, it still looks too small to be a big Hulk-Buster suit. Plus, on top of that, he is walking when it's being applied. You would think if he's putting on this 15-foot tall suit, that he would be standing still on stilts/lifts.

i could see it being built after the end of "incredible hulk" post credits where stark meets with ross at the bar, that lets u know that stark is fully aware of the hulk and knows what hes capeable of at a very early stage, would make since to me that he went ahead and developed something.. just in case.

@teabag this is only the skeleton of the armor....the armor itself is missing... and please... the skeleton of the arm is way too big to be the mark 6 or 7 armor....

They aren't doing the Hulk buster armor. How would that make any sense at all? Tony just built a random large suit of armor in case he ran into the Hulk??? LAME!! How would he know it's effective if he's never seen or fought the Hulk before?? C'mon guys!

That is just a normal shot of Tony suiting up. It's most likely from around the beginning or middle of the film based on the arc chest piece clearly being the triangle one that is most likely destroyed or damaged during the fight in the woods with Thor, Cap and Hulk. He then acquires or builds the circular chest piece suit seen in the final battle.

I don't think so. It's the Mark. VI, the suits are that big.

I thought that Hulkbuster armor went over "regular" Iron man armor?

felixxx - 2/7/2012, 1:35 AM
Im all for it, that would be great! Id say due the shape of the reactor, that there is a good chance. My only dought about this idea is that the suit doesnt look very big. Maybe this a sceen early in the movie where hes working on the armor and its not done yet since it doesnt have an plating on it yet.

Tried posting the pics. I cant figure out the code crap, but the second address is a pretty good scale for the Hulkbuster vs the regular.

If it is in the film, I reckon it might be when they recruit Hulk. I think perhaps Cap, Iron Man and maybe Thor (being the main three in promo material, etc) could be sent to find and capture the Hulk for their first mission as the Avengers. Perhaps that's why they're in a forest in the trailer? The Hulk could be hiding in the Wilderness. I'd guess they manage to capture him, and he transforms back into Bruce Banner.
I think that will lead to the bit in the tent with Black Widow. I reckon she tries to interrogate him, pisses him off and he ends up transforming again, or something.

So yeah, if they're going after the Hulk, Tony Stark would probably create something big enough to do some real damage to him. Also, it makes sense, since Tony has a bit of foreknowledge on the Hulk (The Incredible Hulk post-credit scene - talking to General Ross, could've been learning more about the Hulk, giving him time and info to build a Hulk worthy armour [since Iron Man 2 is set before The Incredible Hulk])

I may shed some light...
After this round of sequels passes (I mean Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Capt. America 2 etc.) they are releasing second part of Avengers. This will be in 2015. After that the third round starts. In this round will see another part of Incredible Hulk (which is now in pre-production I think) where Hulk will be so dangerous for our lovely planet Earth that S.H.I.E.L.D. will be forced to send him to another planet where he can distroy everything freely. So my guess is that in order to capture Hulk they might need help of Tony Stark with his Hulkbuster ;)
