The moment the words "The Avengers" popped out on the screen, chills went through my body as I realized that I was finally about to witness one of the greatest comic book movies of all time. To say that would be an understatement because this movie is so great in so many different aspects and any fan of superheroes is going to have a nerdgasm just as I did throughout the entire movie. I remember about two years ago sitting in hall H at comic con when Samuel L Jackson came out to announce the cast of the film and that is when my anticipation started. I live for these types of films and the Avengers has simply changed the direction in which all CBMs will be produced from now on.

I didn't have any specific person I was rooting for throughout the movie because I love all the characters all in different ways and now after seeing this I still cannot explain who I like the most because it is the team itself that produces such an energy that any comic book fan will appreciate. Seeing Hulk and Thor battle side by side made me yell and and laugh and freak out because it was just like reading a comic book but only in front of my eyes. Each character has an equal and fair amount of screen time to make it seem evened out. Each different scene made my jaw drop and made me want more and more. Marvel Studios has set a president for all comic book movies now and it is literally the marvel universe coming to life. I was very impressed with the characters and the biggest surprise for me was Hawkeye. I did not expect much from him, but seeing the kickass ability he has and various amounts of arrows he shoots at the Chitauri made me root for him for the remainder of the film. Black Widow also impressed me, kicking some ass in the final moments of the film. Iron man steals the show with his gadgets and badass style of fighting. One of the coolest moments of the film was when he is thrown out of Stark Tower and his Mark VII armor comes to the rescue and he transforms into Iron Man in midair...one of the coolest things ever. Captain America is an obvious leader for the team his attitude is essential to how they come together in the end. Thor kicks all kinds of ass whether it be fighting Iron man, giving Mjolnir a mighty swing at Hulk's face, or stopping Loki from trying to take over earth. Last but certainly not least is Hulk who easily steals the show throughout the last moments of the film. He is such a great character and Joss Whedon truly brought the big guy to the big screen especially his "Hulk" attitude and how he reacts with all the other characters, the best scene being where he and Thor kick the shit out of a bunch of Chitauri and in a close up on the two which is meant to show how badass they are, Hulk straight up punches Thor making everyone in the audience laugh.

The thing that I was so happy about was the chemistry between all the characters and just simply hearing them shout eachothers names in battle made my hair stand up. The special effects are amazing and it is easy to see through many different parts of the movie that it is a special CBM. This movie is going to rock your socks if your a Marvel fan, or superhero fan in general. The ending with the Avengers tower starting to be built got me so excited and I knew that this franchise is going to be so spectacular. I cannot wait for a sequel and what else Marvel is going to bring to the big screen. This movie was the coolest thing I have ever seen and it will stay that way until the sequel comes which will potentially be better. Thanos will be a big threat for the Earth's mightiest heroes and seeing him in the mid-credits scene was just the icing on the cake. Way to go Marvel! I am so excited about this film and it is without a doubt THE best comic book movie to date.

Although I love all of Thor's parts/scenes, Cap showing the NYPD police officer who's boss was bad-ass. That, and the part where he's giving everyone their orders, and they all listen, even Tony.
