I know everyone will geek out over Conroy but I didn't think his voice works here. I mean maybe because it's on the spot but there are moments when his voice feels wrong.

Like when he said "I'm whatever Gotham needs me to be", Conroy raised his voice which could come off as him disagreeing with Gordon's comments and telling Gordon what to do. Whereas when Bale said it, he sounded softer and sincere. Plus when Bale performed this, he was out of breath which added more to the voice.

I'm not hating on Conroy because I love his voice and will always love it but how he said that one line stuck me as feeling unnatural from Batman.

@LEVITIKUZ - I completely agree with you. Conroy in my opinion is way overrated and his voice is so emotionless it is inappropriate.

Awesome.

It's a very powerful scene, Zimmer's soundtrack is, like always, on point, and the acting?

@Doomsday8888 - This movie still blows my mind every time I watch it. It's just such an epic film. I still can't believe that it wasn't nominated for a best picture oscar. It seriously was worthy of it.

@Doomsday8888 - I LOVE that scene! Everytime I watch it I get chills. It is simultaneously such a profound and an EPIC moment in a film that I struggle to find any flaws in!

@bcom - I think it was shortchanged because of the genre it represented. At least Ledger got his Oscar and damn was it well deserved.

@Forthas - It's why the Oscars are mostly pointless. This movie was easily one of the best movies of the year it was released (can you believe it's almost 10 years old!). It may have been a superhero movie, but it was also an incredibly well made movie on all fronts.

Had just seen this earlier today. The delivery of the lines wasn't flawless, but this wasn't him doing a professional recording, he was just reading them. And it was amazing hearing those awesome lines from Batman!

Now I'm torn on wether I want to hear BvS dialogue from him or not...

I know it's a "cold reading" as he said, but this was stale af. I'm sure if he had more time, he would have done it better.

Oldman and Bale still did it to perfection.

This was atrocious! Thank goodness we had an Academy Award winning actor actually do the scene and properly project the adequate amount of emotion into the words.
