Does A Toy Explain How Batman Escaped At The End Of TDKR?

After watching TDKR recently, I realized they never show a front view of "The Bat". There is a toy which was released for the movie which features Batman ejecting from the front. Is it possible that Batman escaped like this?

If that didn't happen, even in Christopher Nolan's "realistic" Batman universe, is it possible that Superman flew by to save the day? Of course we'll never know, but it's just an idea.

I've been saying this since the film came out. Superman came out of nowhere and saved his friend Batman, and purposely let all this crap happen to Gotham with out doing anything. It only explains this:

it could be possible, batman does have a waterborne vehicle in the comics, they did the car, the bike and the jet... its possible he might have another gadget left :P

He ejected in a submarine of some sort. Only way I could see it happening. If you look at the bat it looks as if the cockpit could detach.

Or go even further with what Splenda said. Why didnt Superman just save Batman from the pit.

Also, this makes no sense because basically Supes would have asked Batman to help him and Batman would have said no...since he clearly retired as Batman.

Ejector seat is likely. You mean to tell me he had the forethought of building an escape methid into the tumbler, but he wouldnt have some means of escape from a flying machine? Right.

Anyway, the Superman theory is dumb. SMH

You shouldve just mentioned the toy no superman I know it would be great but no way. Also a friend of mine in Hollywood heard Jake Gyllenhaal has been approached to play Bruce Wayne/Batman for JL.

I'm shocked no one has said this yet? Isn't it obvious? GREEN LANTERN (Ryan Reynolds) save him! I mean duuuh. Just as logical as the superman theory! LoL im going to go ahead and say eject pod similar to the tumblers. Just because we didn't see it, does not mean it doesn't exist.

it doesn't matter how he escaped. the fallout from the nucelar blast would have killed him and everyone in gotham, if not immediately then within 6 months. unless of course superman rescued him...but superman doesn't exist in the batnolanverse

No. He was in the Bat when it exploded. But he's Batman, so he withstood the blast, landed in the water, and swam back to shore.

Time to face the facts- Santa Claus is not real, and neither is Batman.

The ending of the film was poorly written in regards to Batman's escape. There IS NO other explanation.

And yeah, as oxbowArcher said, they all would have died of cancer. You all should be in perpetual morning for Bruce, Gordon, Selina, etc. (maybe not Alfred, but he'll die of old age soon anyway), as they die of cancer, slowly and painfully.

So he simply shot out from the cockpit forward toward the blast while thrusting at full speed?

I love this movie, 5 stars IMO. But thinking this toy explains that is psychotic.

I always thought his cockpit turned into a small underwater sea scooter after it ejected downwards towards the water. Only way an ejected pilot could survive the clearance of an atom bomb.

It wouldn't make any sense if Superman saved him because then Superman would have let Bane imprison Batman and hold Gotham hostage and all of the GCPD officers in the sewer for 5 months without doing anything at all. I'm not a DC guy but that doesn't sound very much like Superman.

Maybe if enough CBM filmmakers take a cue from Nolan, and start to intentionally fail to include explanations of important plot elements, they will succeed in driving enough fanboys psychotic to justify the government's intervention in deporting them to Juarez, and/or banning their internet privileges. Goddamn, the world could be a better place...

...and maybe we'd get more episodes of The Coon and Friends...

the reason there's no clear cut explanation to the ending of TDKR is because the Nolan Bros and David Goyer couldn't come up with one!!! C. Nolan never intended to do a third Batman Movie (ala Burton & Schumacher)especially after the amazingly talented Heath Ledger passed away. He did the TDKR coz the Producers sweet talked him into it with stories of big money and fan worship! As much as I enjoyed TDKR (seen it 3 times now) it's layered with BS scenes were u can cleary tell the writers .....just didnt bother!

It amuses me to no end the haters on TDKR. And especially the ones that comment that they're "watching it right now"...um why are you watching it if you think it's so stupid?

And of course Batman escaped, they just didn't show every little thing, the movie can only be so long. That's where you're supposed to use that thing in your head to come up with plausible explanations for yourself like a big boy.

Anyways, hate away!! I'm off to watch TDKR again :)

Bro...he was planning a 3rd film BEFORE Heath Ledger died. His death affected the 3rd film to the point to where they had to rewrite it and remove him completely

yeah.. cause a glider is gonna move faster than an aircraft with two turbines to escape from a nuclear bomb blast... specially after ejecting batman towards the explosion and not away from it.

(sigh) just give up already... not even all the toys in the world can make up for TDKR's shitty script.

Warner Bros were planning a 3rd film with J. Nolan and David Goyer writing. C.Nolan was never signed up for a 3rd until very very late on. The producers talked him into it, I'm tellin ye man !
