Game of the Year (GOTY) edition for Batman: Arkham Origins incoming?

Amazon Germany is listing a GOTY edition for Batman: Arkham Origins for both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 sistems. Is there any truth to this information? Follow the link to check it out for yourself.

A recent listing in the German Amazon website gives us a date and price for the third game (first in continuity) of the Arkham series. This edition is set to release on the 21st of August, with a price tag of 39,95EUR (around 55$ and 32£).

Warner Interactive is yet to make a comment about the veracity of this information.

@scarecrow007 While the game is not GOTY (still a great game), I think this edition exists to keep the tradition of the franchise.

Still don't own this game so I'll wait for this edition of the game. Have heard that it's still plagued with bugs though.

@yonny616 You and me both. Had to wait almost a year to get the Arkham City GOTY in Europe, and not knowing nothing about Origins getting one made the wait insuferable. But now, if this is true, it's gonna be great having all content in one disc.

@Mercwitham0uth Can't comment on that, as I do not own the game yet, but it's not something exclusive to Arkham Origins. Couple weeks ago, my Arkham City on the PS3 crashed 2 times in the same day.

@darkknight2149 The listing only references Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, but with all these Next-Gen remakes, one could be on the away, who knows?

I hate when people abbreviate things, assuming everyone knows what they're talking about. I shouldn't have to look up acronyms just to understand WTF an article is talking about. Not everyone who plays games have their lives revolve around the gaming industry.

For those who don't know WTF he's talking about, GOTY means Game of the Year.

@Luminus Well, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that, since every year comes the talk of GOTY (Game of the Year) games, I thought by this point it was common knowledge. With your input, I shall change the title.

PS: I don't know if you're being serious, since you claim to hate "when people abbreviate things", and use the term WTF (what the f*ck) twice.

@HurricaneXavier First this is yet to be confirmed, and second, it could very well be to keep up the tradition of GOTY editions for the Arkham series.

PS: I've seen games with way more bugs than this, but that's irrelevant.

@Diogo I actually have played it. I bought it for $30 on Black Friday then sold it to my uncle once i passed it since I want the GOTY.

Nice first article. This game was great, the Brightest Day costume is my all time favorite skin of any in the Arkham series and the Mr. Freeze DLC was well worth the wait. I didn't experience any bugs with it, but I sure did with Arkham City. I preordered it, got it the first day that it came out and couldn't play it for three months before they released a patch for the bizarre problem that only affected a really small percentage of people who got it for the 360. It was a good game but needless to say I'm not too happy with Rocksteady.

@ComicFan523 Thank you. I've experienced bug and crashes too on Arkham City, just a couple weeks ago! While Rocksteady delivered more polished products, they were not clear of bugs and glitches. But for their first game, WB Montreal did an amazing job, if only they got more time, we could have seen a way better product.

@diogosanto: I'm not insulting you. I genuinely didn't know what you were talking about, hence my comment. It's only common knowledge to game geeks, which is my point. Not everyone is that hardcore, obviously.

P.S., the term WTF is truly common knowledge; especially, in the context of how it was used in the sentence, which is why I said people should already know it's meaning.
