This is more than likely false information but I said I would post it anyway out of interest.

According to imdb.com, Benjamin Ciaramello has been cast as The Riddler. There isn't even a 'rumoured' beside it.



Ciarmello has previously appeared as Santiago in "Friday Night Lights," as well as being featured in episodes of "Brothers and Sister"s and "Grey's Anantomy." He was briefly tipped to replace Taylor Lautner in "New Moon" when the latter hadn't been confirmed.

Does he have what it takes to play The Riddler, if this is not false information?



I don't know. I like Johnny Depp, but I've never seen him as The Riddler. David Tennant has been my personal favourite. I've never seen Ciaramello act but my favourite interpretation of E. Nigma has always been Brian Azzarello's in Joker, and maybe this guy could channel that?



Next on imdb: Dame Edna Everage to play Aunt Harriet? Gabriel Byrne to play Chief O' Hara? ;)

Hmmm LOve the comic peice u put there I can see him doin it..Nobody wanted Ledger for The Joker when it was announced..Never know.. I would like to see that version of the Riddler something different..Never know with nolan in charge..

Nah, can't see it myself. I could be wrong, I suppose. I was one of the Ledger detractors so I've been proven wrong before. I just REALLY want David Tennant to be Edward Nigma.

Being that there is not even a script for this film yet, I'd venture to say it's a safe bet this is BS.

but yeah i havent seen him in anything yet either. Johnny Depp would own the role, but then again this guy could possible do it too

"Joker" was a good story, but no way in hell do I want to see that Riddler in Batman 3. A crippled gangster with a belly tattoo just wont cut it with me.

i would love to see the riddler but not a crippled version. i would like to see either a detective thats a serial killer,or just a serial killer who is leaving puzzles and riddled,and maybe another side villain. i think james franco would work for the joker.

it hasn't even been confirmed that the Riddler will be the villain...

Michael Emerson, "Ben Linus" from LOST, would make a great Riddler, IMHO.

at least here, we have sources that get posted to show where the info is coming from. IMDB just puts names next to characters they will be playing like its fact.

damn man good choice! he would make a great riddler! but i would cast him as the next Doc Ock in the spider-man re-boot.

It'll probably be either leonardo dicaprio or joseph gordon-levitt- only because nolan likes to work with the same actors alot of the time and both of those fellows are in Inception.

i really want Damian Lewis for the Riddler he is a great actor who an pull off crazy with class which is what the riddler is. he also has the more classic look but with the Nolan style...not to mention he is a brit which seems to have been working so far.

IMDb must have taken that info down, i don't see it in Benjamin's page and the page for the next Batman only has the four main charaters.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed the other day that Benjamin Ciaramello, who played Santiago in Friday Night Lights, was listed as playing the Riddler on this film's IMDB page. We emailed Ciaramello, and asked if this bit of casting news was true. He wrote back to us:

"Edward Nygma, Eddie Nashton, call me what you want. There is no other one but me."

Which sure sounds like a "Yes." Still, that listing has since been removed from IMDB, and we're left wondering if Ciaramello has the part, or is campaigning for the part. (Or he was just messing with us. He didn't respond to requests for clarification.)

Jim Carrey is the best Riddler and always will be. But I hope the next Batman movie can proof me wrong ;)

Johnny Deep is one of my fave actor, I just wish to see him on Riddler. He can do everything as he is best actor.
