The costume that Christian Bale wears as Batman on the set of
The Dark Knight Rises is not as comfortable as one may think. Through most of the course of the movie, he spends his time in the Batsuit which is a very tight rubber costume with a mask and cowl made of the same material.
Bale had the following to say to Empire:
"When it gets cold the cowl is extremely tight, and it gets better the warmer I get it; it becomes more flexible, but after a couple of takes I was trying to breathe properly in my nose. I was starting to see stars and I said, 'I have to take this off'. And thank God, on this one I can - on Batman Begins I couldn't - so I had to get inside because I couldn't let anybody see me without the cowl."
It seems like the nose in the cowl for the batsuit doesn't have anyway to breath through it.
The Dark Knight Rises will release in theatres on July 20th and will finish the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.
