A recent interview with a extra from TDKR might possibly reveal how similar the movie is to the comic storyline "Knightfall".

Know Your Marvel News: So you are an extra in The Dark Knight Rises?

"TheDredog21": I'm a Extra in the movie when we start shooting in Pittsburgh next month.

KYMN: You say next month, is there anything you have already filmed, anything new that we saw in the teaser?

"TheDredog21": [in the trailer] The Epic Conclusion is referring to the fight scene between Bane and Batman. Batman does get bloodied and beating to a pulp finally bane has Batman over his head in the air .....well you just have to find out what happens but the first offical trailer you will see has young Ra's al ghul and Catwoman. But it is Bane and batman at the end of the trailer Batman is limping and Bane is limping as well, Batman walks up to Bane before they fight and Bane says I've been waiting for you pumps his Venom up then turns his head then Batman backs up.

KYMN: Some very interesting details, so what else will you be shooting?

"TheDredog21": I'm Just a Extra During Banes Prison Break but I hope to do more films since im talented in doing voices and i would play a real dark bad guy or any voice of a villian if i had a chance to.

So it sounds as though that Bane will figure out Batman's identity and break his back like in the original comics, but there is no confirmation that this is true.

We won't know the truth for almost a year when The Dark Knight Rises releases on July 20, 2012. Starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane,Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle

i want to see Bats get owned. just once. he can come back and save the day at the end of course. but the first time Bane and Batman fight, I want him to get his ass beat, lol.

we have yet to really see Batman take a severe ass kicking in any Batman movie.

So...they might incorporate the Lazarus Pit as a supherhuman power supply to Bane rather than a revival source for, say, Ras?

I like it!

I truly hope that if this is true, bats has to use the lazerus pit to heal. The movie would be boring if half of it is bruce in a wheelchair lamenting his inability to preform (batman stuff of course-you dirty minded bastiches). That could explain all the globe trotting he is doing at this stage of filming. What do you think?

This just seems like B.S.

First, he is an extra that hasn't started filming his scenes yet so how would he know about what has already been filmed.

Also, I'm pretty sure "the epic conclusion" is refering to the trilogy, not the fight scene. Plus, how would he know what the first trailer is going to have in it? Have they even started filming Catwomans scenes yet? I'm pretty sure Nolan would not discuss the next trailer with some extra.

I don't know, maybe I read it wrong but it just doesn't add up.

Interesting...

@CorndogBurgular I'm keen in seeing Bats take a beating too lol....however i'm sure we see him get beaten very quickly the first time he meets Scarecrow in Begins...sprayed with fear gas, then set on fire!

well, they could pull at Batman:tas and have Bane raise him up, but then batman cuts his venom. But I'm hoping he does get his back broken, catwoman takes over for a bit, Bruce heals with the lazarus pit, then kicks bane's ass. Hoping for a lot of little villain cameos ala knightfall as well.

I don't really believe him. How would he have seen the trailer? Besides, it really looks like Catwoman at the end of the teaser, not Batman.
I want to believe him, though.
The bit about the Prison Break might be true, if he is an extra, but he might just be speculating, because he's heard about it on the 'net, like the rest of us.
If what he says is true, then that is awesome and makes me breathe a huge sigh of relief.

What if the 'venom' is juice from the Lazarus pit? An instant healing factor for a just as beaten Bane?
StrangerX
StrangerX - 7/15/2011, 11:47 AM
@CraptainAmerica- That would seem possible, since Bane despises using venom. He waits till the last possible moment when him and Batman are both at their last breath he Takes the Venom and SNNNAAAAP!!!!!! There goes the Bats Back.

Ummm this is too much detail for an extra, unless he somehow saw the scene....

Most of you should check my Editorial out. I kinda elaborate on the plot points of the film.

@MarvelWeiner I highly doubt that Batman is going to die in this last installment. Do you really think WB is going to let Nolan get away with that shit? Now what I can see happen is Batman will finally be accepted as Gothams savior or it is pressumed Batman died in the final scene by the public but actually is not.

SpiderFan35 - 7/15/2011, 12:32 PM
Umm...fake.

I do hope that Mr. Bale gets his ass kicked at some point in this movie though.
Maybe if Batman gets punched in the throat he won't do that stupid voice anymore lol.

Facepalm

I can't believe people still think thats Catwoman at the end of the teaser.

even though EVERYONE who has seen the trailer in the theatre says its Batman. wtf is wrong with people?

PaulRom - 7/15/2011, 12:33 PM
@SuperDude LOL so true, he's literally their god ATM.
And some of this sounds pretty cool (like Catwoman/Ghul being in the full trailer, prison break, Batman being beat to a pulp, etc), but I find it hard to believe that an extra would no all of that. We'll have to see what happens though.
cable23
cable23 - 7/15/2011, 12:33 PM
@SuperDude001 Yeah that may be true but killing of Batman just seems to be a bad move. if he's not dead in the comics then dont kill him. Something I wish alot of comicbook movies would do especially when it came to the villans.
cable23
cable23 - 7/15/2011, 12:35 PM
@SuperDude001 At first I did think it was Catwoman but after seeing another clearer bootleg it was definetly Batman. Remeber ignorance is bliss.

@SuperDude001 No harm taken at all dude. lol I do see what your saying but there have been alot of comicbook films that have failed because they did not stick to their comicbook counterparts. I do agree there should be some spin to it. For instance Watchmen followed the book from start to finish and was a excellent film if you ask me, but the ending was different. But this ending was way better than Alan Moores ending in the novel because it was more relatable and added much more depth to the storyline.
SugarYumYum
SugarYumYum - 7/15/2011, 12:43 PM
Ooo, Ooo! I know how it ends! Bats and Bane go at it, Bat gets his back broke, Cat has to finish off Bane but Bruce is left in a wheelchair for life. Then Warner finally realizes they can't rely on Bats forever and focuses on their other characters so when they reboot Batman again in 7-8 years, he'll be a part of an actual DC cinematic universe.

Ok, I'm done.

@DarkAvengers: Well, I believed there was no way those corny lines Gordon says in the teaser were real and... well... ._.

I don't think an extra would actually know any of this though so I say he's bulls***ing.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is hilarious! I love how at the end he tries to get his name out and he's like "yeah I'm really good at voices, I can play a really dark, scary person." Wow, this guy's a tool bag. And you people actually believe any of the words coming out of his mouth.

plasticman - 7/15/2011, 12:53 PM
@ SugarYumYum- Or if he ie paralyzed at the end they have set themselves up for a Batman Beyond movie. But I see a reboot, too. There is too much money involved in this franchise that Warner's won't just hang up the Batsuit, at least not for very long.

@ teabag- As I started reading his comments I had the same thoughts. A) No more entertainment career for this loudmouth and B) its not legit. Wonder what kind of voices he can do? Does he practice in the water closet?

I smell crap. First, if he hasn't started filming yet, how does he know this. Extras don't get a script and besides, Nolan famously doesn't hand out scripts until the day of shooting anyways, and then he collects them at the end of the day. If this guy is trying to solicit more parts, he might not want to spread b.s. spoilers on the internet.

Bane doesn't break bats back this is basically how the final battle goes... bane is kicking bats ass but catwoman intervenes and distracts bane long enough for bats to start beating that ass bane is now desperate and starts to pump the venom in his body batman says [frick] this shit pulls out a pistol and pops bane three times twice in thw chest once in the head killing him batman then [frick]s catman on some cardboard boxes.... the end

@DoIlookLIkeIGiveA[frick] Just when I think you can't be any dumber you go and say something like that.........AND COMPLETELY REDEEM YOURSELF!!!!! That is the funniest thing I've read on these message boards in a long time, dude.
