RUMOR: More Info On Bane's Origins In The Dark Knight Rises Revealed?

Someone on the Nolan Fans forums posted a very interesting description of a possible scene for The Dark Knight Rises, further describing Bane's possible origins and role in the film...

Over at the Nolan Fans forums, the creator of the thread below posted a possible scene description a while back of one of the scenes films in India in May for The Dark Knight Rises. While we've heard things about Bane jumping out of the Lazarus Pit, surviving a burning village, etc. in the past, the following goes into much more details. So although this is still classifiable as a rumor until further notice, a strong spoiler warning is being placed, so turn away if you wanna know NOTHING about the film already...

the league burns down a town and just as their about to leave they see a child rise up out of a pit covered in flames. They are intrigued because it has something to do with their mythology or prophecies. I guess they see him as a messiah of some sort. The chant is a kind of tribute slash salute. I would love to see the league assemble themselves piece by city in Gotham and then salute him with the chant in the city square that has been emptied out due to the fear spread through Gotham

Again, this is still just a rumor that has yet to be confirmed or debunked. Take this info with a grain of salt until further notice. But do you think that this sounds right, and fits in with other reports that we've heard before? Sound off your thoughts below in the usual place!

Starring Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman, The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012!

@Truder apparently, one of the editors thought it was worthy of main, and I didn't even care one way or another.

"I would love to see the league assemble themselves..."

Yeah, this sounds more like someone's opinion to me than an actual rumor about the movie.

This (http://movies.ign.com/articles/118/1180262p1.html) is what Chucksome12391 is referring to. This by NO MEANS shows that there will definitely be a bat-copter in the movie.

This was pretty much information we all ready knew. Even though it sounds like a fan theory it does sound plausible. I mean there was chanting in that marketing video on twitter so it could be used as Bane intro of some sort. And if you ask me this sounds pretty bad ass. People on this site needs to just hold the judgment until the final product. For example: X MEN FIRST CLASS

Normally I'm not all that picky-heck, I even thought the Zack Snyder's Watchmen ending was waaaaay better than the original-but, this makes me a little salty.

Part of the intrigue about Bane is that he was forced to pay for the crimes of his father. I just find that idea cool; plus, it helps explain the character's motivations.

Just my opinion.

@grimlock20 with Nolan movies i stopped caring a long time ago if its like the comics because Heath Leadgers joker looked nothing like the comics and it earned him an Oscar

Cable23 You're only defending it because you like the fan fiction you just read. And far as holding judgment, you can't stop people (including YOURSELF) from sharing their thoughts about movies in development- And X-MEN FIRST CLASS makes no solid point against this. Did I like the movie? Yeah. Does that change how shitty it was looking up until a week before it's release? Noooo.

This is retarded ass fan fiction and there's never any real news about this film because Nolan doesn't [frick] around with his productions. No plots, no story arch's and no picture of great importance revealing ANYTHING will show up unless it's supposed to.

tom hardy will wow alot of ppl as bane and this movie could very well be better than TDK.......maybe i have high hopes for this movie.
SpiderFan35
SpiderFan35 - 7/2/2011, 10:14 PM
I don't know what to think at this point, as GuardianAngel says, the TDK Joker had very little to do with the comics Joker other than basic appearance and I think it worked out.
Maybe Nolan is taking Bane in a new direction as well, who knows.

Ryguy88 - 7/2/2011, 10:19 PM
Yeah, I'm gonna wait for some plot details before I start proclaiming anything in this movie to sound stupid. I remember a while back, no more than a year ago actually, that people on this site were running around stating that First Class would be a flat out bad movie while knowing very very little about it. I guess some things will never change.

@Intruder

I believe this is true. But we all find out soon enough.

Also, don't assume Bane is of any specific ethnicity because no one said he lives there.

Remember, the League of Shadows destroys cities infested with criminals and corruption.

Bane could be a traveling bandit, killing and stealing only to be caught by the villagers, shortly after Ra's burns down there jail, etc.

Anyways, this rumor is old.

Just to play devils advocate on a rumor but...in TDK, Alfred tells a story about a man in Burma who robbed the wealthy just for the hell of it or "some men just want to watch the world burn."
In BB Ras tells Bruce that one of their weapons to destroy a society was economics. TDK - the Joker comes from nowhere with no identity and not only attempts to get Gotham to turn on itself, like Ras did - but he too takes money for the hell of it and says the point is - "everything burns."
Is only BB and TDKR going to be connected or was TDK also a piece...just sayin...
