In the latest TV spot for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, I noticed something very interesting on my first viewing. What I noticed was a re-used piece of footage from The Dark Knight's IMAX sizzle reel. Here's the latest spot with the GIF of re-used footage...

And here is The Dark Knight IMAX sizzle with the exact same snippet at the beginning...

So, now I would like to speculate. In the first TV spot where Lucius Fox mentions to Bruce, "Remember where you parked?" The location seems to be similar to the temporary Batcave used in TDK.

This scene could be where Bruce decides to "get back in the game" and get his Bat gear from his old cave after retiring at the end of TDK. We don't actually know if he retires immediately after TDK or if it's a battle with Bane that causes him to, we just know he has according to this TV spot...

So could Nolan be re-using this unused shot for this scene? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below...

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th. Starring Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Marion Colltiard.

This is actually something that happens quite often in movie trailers, so good eye, but nothing of concern or worry.

I caught that piece of reused footage -- but I never thought about it this deep. Very brilliant speculation. That does look like the Bat-Bunker.

yeah, remember when the first Avengers trailer came out and people spotted the scene of Iron Mans faceplate coming down was the exact same shot from Iron Man 1

i think this film will be using some unused footage from tdk. for example, Gordon's speech. the beginning of tdkr's prologue is a shot of gordon at dent's funeral saying a speech and that really looks like footage that was probably used at the end of tdk when gordon there is also giving a speech. thats all i've seen so far plus this now.

Very interested in this one. The two different cabinets with the batsuit. The only theory is one he uses early in the movie before he gets injured and the other after.

It was in the film. Because Bruce and Lucius go there.
