Former Batman stars have expressed their support towards Ben Affleck instead of siding with the naysayers.

It has been a wild couple of days due to the news that Ben Affleck has been chosen to play Batman in the upcoming sequel to the successful 'Man of steel' movie. While many fanboys, casual viewers and celebrities have condemned this casting choice, a few stars have backed Affleck.

Yesterday, 'Avengers' director Joss Whedon showed his support for the new Batman star. But now, Batman legend, Val Kilmer, who starred in the 1995 film 'Batman Forever' as Bruce Wayne has jumped on the Affleck train! A few hours ago, Kilmer tweeted, "Give Ben a chance!"

However, Val Kilmer wasn't the only Batman legend to show support. Adam West tweeted,
"Remember Ben, with the cape and cowl comes great responsibility (and lots of heat). Bring deodorant. #batman @BenAffleck"

Well,there you have it. I for one can't wait to see what Affleck does with the role. What do you think of their decision to support Affleck?

This is what I like seeing! Batmen showing the utmost respect and support for the next Batman to don the cape! So excited to see our first peek at the new Batsuit!

And also I wanted to add that it has been confirmed that the film will start official production February of next year and film up to August!

@CubanRaftRide

i wouldn't laugh about his weight. It could happen to you as well. I think it's a hormon disorder.

Kilmer isn't that fat anymore...those are old pics.
He's heavier than his Batman days but so is Adam West.

Clooney is good pals with Ben so he's gonna back him too...What's Keaton & Bale think??

@3DWitchHunt

i might be wrong but (from what i heard) they are using steroids type of medications to treat this kind of disorder.

Damn, really?
What exactly was wrong with him?

like i said i think it was a hormons disorder. I'm not sure about that though. It's messing with your body. Then you're going for the treatment with steroids. You're gonna gain weight right after that.

Like i said, i'm just assuming. I'm not a doctor.
