In a recent interview with Deadline.com, Emma stone told how filming Birdman was very similar to a Cabaret, and that you could be very free while you were on the set. "Shooting Birdman wasn't typical of making a movie. It was similar to Cabaret in the sense that you had to become incredibly technically aware and your choreography had to be so nailed down that you could then let go of everything and be free." Emma told to Deadline, "Of course, you were doing each scene for a day, instead of the full story all the way through each day."

She then told how Alejandro González, the director for Birdman, use to call her and ask if she felt like she was in the Birdman universe, "Alejandro keeps emailing me asking me if I feel like I'm in Birdman every day, because I'm walking through these hallways of Studio 54. It does feel like Birdman." She then continues, "You couldn't have picked a better movie to make if you had to prepare for theatre, because every other movie has felt very different than what I'm doing right now." Emma Stone, in Birdman, played Riggan's (Michael Keaton) daughter, Sam. Birdman, according to Rotten Tomatoes, has a 93% on the "TOMATOMETER", and has racked up 157 fresh reviews with only 11 Rotten. With that said, Birdman was a pretty great film and the big question is: Where would you rank it on the best film of 2014 list? Sound off below with your thoughts!

Former cinema superhero Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton) is mounting an ambitious Broadway production that he hopes will breathe new life into his stagnant career. It's risky, but he hopes that his creative gamble will prove that he's a real artist and not just a washed-up movie star. As opening night approaches, a castmate is injured, forcing Riggan to hire an actor (Edward Norton) who is guaranteed to shake things up. Meanwhile, Riggan must deal with his girlfriend, daughter and ex-wife.

I think watching this girl try to say the tongue twister “Sally sells seashells by the seashore” would be the sexy as hell with that lisp.

I want to make a remark about ASM2, but the standards of banning on this site are at an all time high.

Still haven't watched this, it's one of those movies that get released month later here. I guess I'll probably have it on blu-ray before it opens here. :/

@Emblemmaniac93

End of January here in Germany as well. For GOTG me and some friend drove up to Denmark, because we got that one about a month later here. These things are just annoying (although we do get a lot of the bigger movies with a similar release date as the UK).

Just saw this last week. Except for one scene, it isn't really a superhero movie. But God did I felt like floating after watching this amazing piece of art.
