FROZEN Star Josh Gad Has Reportedly Joined The Cast Of Disney+'s WONDER MAN TV Series

If a new rumour is to be believed, the cast of Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ series Wonder Man has now added Frozen and Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad! You can find everything we know right here.

The Wonder Man cast has rapidly begun taking shape, with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II tapped to play Simon Williams.

Rumours continue to swirl about everyone from Courtney Cox to Bob Odenkirk making an appearance, but we know Sir Ben Kingsley will reprise his MCU role as Trevor Slattery. Last month, Demetrius Grosse was confirmed as The Grim Reaper, while we anticipate seeing Westworld alum Ed Harris make an appearance too.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty director Destin Daniel Cretton is overseeing the series which, according to The Hot Mic podcast, has now added Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad.

There's no word on who the actor is playing, but considering the fact Wonder Man is expected to deliver a satirical spin on Hollywood, don't be surprised if many of the names attached to the show have been tapped as fictionalised versions of themselves.

While Gad's role in the series hasn't been confirmed, he'd be a mighty fine addition to the Disney+ series. Among his many credits are projects like Murder on the Orient Express, Artemis Fowl, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and, perhaps his most famous role, Olaf in Frozen.

Andrew Guest serves as Wonder Man's Head Writer, and his credits include hit TV shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine30 Rock, and Community. As noted, Cretton will executive produce the series, but is expected to also direct a few episodes.

Wonder Man made his Marvel Comics debut in the pages of Avengers #9 in 1964. Initially a villain, he was later retconned and became a hero (and an Avenger) in the 1970s. His brother is the Grim Reaper, while it was his brainwaves that were used by Ultron as a basis for The Vision; later, he would join the West Coast Avengers and become a Hollywood star.

Wonder Man has begun production and will more than likely premiere on Disney+ in 2024. However, given recent reports that the entire Phase 5 slate is going to be spread out a little, there's always a chance it slips into 2025.

It would be great if the background of the Wonder Man Show was the crazy shooting of a movie about the Avengers and Josh Gad plays Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner.

It would be a lot of fun to see Gad emitting Hulk growls. xDD

He's probably too old for it, but I kinda think he should've been Snow in the new Hunger Games

The only good thing Josh Gad has ever done is The Book of Mormon. He’s so annoying and typecast. He’ll be the gay not-funny “comedic relief” character.

@mountainman - totally agree...he, or his characters and their dialogue, are distinctly unfunny...and i hate when the gay guy, who i expect to be funny, isn't...such a waste and as annoying as the schticky unfunny "bro" dude character

This entire show looks like nothing but garbage. I guess if Mickey the Rat is gonna take another giant crap on the MCU, he might as well go all the way.

@Luigi - that’s what I thought. I can’t even remember seeing a set video or even any official announcement of YaYa. I guess people really are fatigued that they know they’ll hate something this far in advance
