John Cena would've made us proud as Captain America!!

Before Chris Evans was cast as the first Avenger there was speculation as to who was gonna get the part and I noticed no one would even touch John Cena even though he was the first person who came to everyone's mind but no one wanted to say it. So let me be the first.

First let start by saying yes I am a wrestling fan and I am against Wrestlers trying to do acting because they just look ridiculous. Look act Hulk Hogan Thunder in Paradise + Mr Nanny= Fail. The Rock "The tooth fairy" "Race to witch mountain" "The Gameplan"? He's fading fast. And Triple H Though he does ressemble Thor did you see him in Blade 3. He's a terrible Actor. It's a known fact Wrestlers cannot be actors. Then there's John Cena , one of the worst wrestlers I ever saw hold the WWE Title starring in a feature film Called the Marine? Fail. After I got the will power to sit through that movie. I gotta admit, it was really good. Then there was 12 rounds. Ok the marine was fluke 12 rounds is gonna blow chunks but I was wrong again another great action flick in the books. After that I came to this conclusion this dude can fricking act .Now wonder he so bad at wrestling. After watching those movies I started to believe this guy could be a damn good Captain America. The question is would he be able to hold his own against acting Juggernauts like Robert Downey Jr., Sam Jackson, Scarlett Johanson and ED Norton (Questionably). And the answer is….. Yes. I believe working with those actors would’ve brought his acting ability to a WHOLE… NUVVA….. LEVVA! Now I’m not a fan of John Cena but You can’t deny his acting ability. Much better than guys like Arnold or Keanu or Paul Walker or Jason Statham. Hell, even the The Rock. Did you see that guy in the Scorpion King . I can’t believe I wasted 2hrs of my life watching that movie when I could’ve been something better like Drinking Battery Acid. At least I wouldn’t suffer so much.

Lets slow down here a bit. . .first off "The Gameplan" with Dwayne TheRock Johnson was a cute movie, but then again I am a sucker when it comes to Father-Daughter relationships, haha. Now to John Cena. He is an AWEsome wrestler and an overall GREAT guy! When it comes to him acting though it is debatable whether or not how good of an actor he is. Then again, all the wrestlers are actors when they perform every night ;) haha. At the end though Captain America is my favorite super hero of ALL time! & John could of brought the militaristic/leadership ability to Captain. Plus not to mention the physical pressence. haha. Don't get me wrong though, Chris Evans is one of my favorite actors but I just can't see it. . .

THE CHAMP IS HERE!!!!!!!!!

he would have made a good captain america, but i much more up for chris evans, i would say ceena would come as a close second choice for me....but naaa evans is the man for the job.

and i just want to say ceena has become a much better wrestler over the last year or 2.

I think wwe should make a hurricane movie, that would be hillarios.

no, just no.
cena was an all right wrestler, now he's a one trick pony with his generic 5 moves.
he has NO mic skill, he cannot hold together a crowd.
he would NOT make a good cap even by the slightest of hand.
His body and that's it, i mean even his face is not good enough.
Nobody besides people who base it off looks thought he'd make a great cap.
He needs to act for god's sake, he cannot even fathom holding his own against the people he would've been going with in the Avengers if he was Cap.
I'd rather have the guy from the Office than Cena

Wrestlers are actors, they really are more like overactors LOL.

Cena did that rap video of his where he was Hannibal from The A Team, but really, Im just not up for him being Cap really.

How about The Rock for Duke Nukem LOL

"...but You can’t deny his acting ability. "

Umm....yes we can. The Marine was terrible. 12 Rounds was surprisingly decent for me, but it wasn't due to Cena's *cough* "acting" *cough*. He was "decent" in that film, but no where near the talent to be able to pull off an iconic role like Captain America.

yeah you have it backward when you're talking about the rock. he's on the rise, not the fade. no one was ever going to take him seriously as an actor so he has to do kid's movies - which is perfect because when did we enjoy the rock? when we were kids. he's showing everyone that he can laugh at himself and have a good time and he's not just some muscle head b-movie action guy. he's in #1 movies all the time. but then again this is coming from someone saying the marine and 12 rounds were "great" flicks. and john cena is a good "actor."

"The question is would he be able to hold his own against acting Juggernauts like Robert Downey Jr., Sam Jackson, Scarlett Johanson and ED Norton (Questionably). And the answer is….. Yes."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!
Dude stop visiting sites about movies and stick to wrestling forums or something. film is not your strong suit.

I think given the right environment and help from other actors like Downey Jr. and Jackson Cena could become a pretty good actor. Let’s face it he has the physical presence to be a comic book hero. My biggest issue is if the WWE were to try and get their paws on some of the rights, like not letting Cena be that character without adding their own flash to the movie. The Marine had moments where it wasn’t bad but some of the stunts were downright offensive how they were done. When the WWE makes a movie it is catering to their audience and no offense but that isn’t going to be a good formula for a successful and believable movie. That’s not how they make money. I think Cena has the potential for this part but it would have to come with plenty of actors training and no involvement from the WWE. Oh and Duane Johnson is not a bad actor look at The Rundown and Walking Tall. Both very good movies, I just think lately he has been trying to show that he is versatile and doing kids movies. If he makes his move back into action movies he will be fine. Oh and this is in no way a front page article! Sad that this is even on there.

john cena is way to muscular to play captain america unless he wanted to drop alot of his msucle mass what he won't do because wrestling carrer is his bread and butter. he should be casted as; the thing, collous, juggernaut or other chactors that are known for being that muscular. i would say john cena is a decent actor

Cena isn't a bad actor he is just the star of bad movies with little ability to make the movie better. As for a bad wrestler with 5 moves? I thought that was all of them? Wrestling has a formula and when you become a power player you HAVE to follow the formula. They pic a series of movies that they have always done as so 2 common moves, 2 signature moves, 2 set ups, 1 taunt before execution, and 2 alternating finisher(and sometimes a main event finisher).

And to ever said Cena is to big his size is the exact size they build cap in except he is an inch shorter.

Wrestlers should only play villains like Rhino, The Wrecking Crew, and bar thug #4.

Cena is a sh$t wrestler and a sh$ttier actor. I'm not a comic reader, but love the movies and this site. For him to even be considered for captain america makes me hate him even more!

My middle finger high in the air to you cena for ruining my wrestling! Stay the f@ck out of my cbms!

I think he could have pulled it off but then again I wouldn't give him the role for the big screen. If Cap was a TV series...maybe. If they gave the live action show that A Scanner Darkly treatment to make it look like a comic that is. He's not a bad actor, he just plays crappy roles. Natalie Portman is an amazing actress and look what happened with her as Padme. I realize how bad that example is lol
