Krasinski rains supreme via an MTV fan poll for who they want to play the legendary Captain America:
John Krasinski ("The Office"): 51%
Chace Crawford ("Gossip Girl"): 26%
Scott Porter ("Friday Night Lights"): 10%
Mike Vogel ("Cloverfield"): 8%
Michael Cassidy ("Smallville"): 3%

Looks like the fans want our leading man to come from behind a desk...

Please, NO. Krasinski was in Kimmel's "Handsome Men's Club" last night just before RDJ came out, and I didn't see Cap at all. NOTHING. There's NO WAY he can be Steve Rogers.

It has never been officially announced that Ackles is out of the running and Kransinski would have the same scheduling conflicts that Ackles would have.

yeah if they cast a no name actor i can see robert downey jr's character ironman bossing him around and over shadowing him with his acting chops,if leonardo decaprio,or sam worthington wwere captain america they can stand face to face so to speak,and act on the same level.

I think it's obvious that these people who voted and whoever supports Kransinski for Cap obviously doesn't know anything about Steve Rogers, his personality, and what he looks like OR they are purposely trying to sabotage the film.

im a true cap fan and i like the krasinski choice. at least out of this group. he wouldnt be my first choice, but if this list its true i would take him over the other guys. if anything hes the better actor. and i dont see what the big deal is about the nose and how he doesnt look like cap. i recall michael keaton wieghing 110 pounds with balding curly hair and a round chin. didnt look like any bruce wayne picture id ever seen.

Well I was a little kid when Batman came out, so I didn't care lol. And I don't think you can be a true Cap fan if you know what Cap looks like. I mean, umm he needs to be at least buff, not gigantic like they make him the comics almost Hulk buff, but he's gotta be like Hugh Jackman buff at least. He has to LEAD the Avengers. I just don't see John telling Robert Downey Jr. what to do in the Avengers, even Thor would look at him and slap him like, 'who the [frick] do you think you are talking to, dork?' lol
