Obviously the cover focuses heavily on the protagonist Lisbeth Salander, and the look seems to be heavily influenced by the look Rooney Mara sports in the David Fincher film, rather than the "Joan Jett" look that Noomi Rapace sport in the Swedish adaptions.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and its sequels are all available to buy on book and Swedish film, and the 2011 film is still in cinemas, and able to buy on DVD/Blu-Ray March 20th. While the first volume of the graphic novel is set to be released in November 2012.

Rooney Mara is up for a Golden Globe on Sunday for Best Actress in a Drama for her performance.
