Dark Horse Bringing Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS To Comic Books

Shit movie, shit book.

Prometheus isn't a bad movie by any means. Just some bad writing on some parts. Loved the android and Noomi's character though.

I really like a sequel.

STILL whining about not understanding Prometheus eh? Lmfao, whatever....Well I understood it, and just as with ANY sci-fi flick, you gotta have people do stupid things or nothing interesting would happen. DUH. It is science FICTION, remember? Oh nevermind, it's like trying to explain logic to a female.

It was beautifully shot, that you can't argue with. I'd like a sequel if for nothing but to see where it goes next. I really didn't think it was bad at all.

@Ocelot, I hadn't even thought of the dual story idea with weyland, that's really good it would give us a litter more of the deacon and maybe even a sign of its evolution into the xenomorph. The stuff with shaw and David on the engineer home world would be cool. I can't wait to see more of the actual culture sir Ridley Scott created for these species. It's like the engineer in alien was the curtain, prometheus pulled it back just a bit, and the sequel will completely pull the whole thing off. I'm a huge prometheus and alien fan but that dosent mean I'm blind to the flaws of prometheus, they need to make shaw more likeable like Ripley if you want this to be your main character for what will presumably be a trilogy until it ties back to alien at the end of #3. Write better dialogue for the characters and don't make the new blah ones they will presumably introduce in #2 charicatures and stereo types aka cannon fodder for the deacon and engineers. Make us care about the characters before you kill them. It will make it all that muh more impactful. I also I hope Ridley keeps the same stunning vision that was In the first as far as the visuals, sets, and locations go. The hills of Iceland in the opening of the original was absolutley stunning and so was the claustrophobic research facity of LV 423. Anywho sorry for the rant I just can't wait for a sequel to prometheus.

I liked Prometheus but not sure if the comic books should be sequels to the film.

I really enjoyed Prometheus! I didn't set up my expectations to impossible heights like so many did. I didn't see it as a philosophical exploration of mankind's existence, just an explanation for the beings that created the Aliens. I like the twist that the Aliens actually might not have been created had we not interfered.

Why would Aliens that created us come back to visit us as cavemen and give us interstellar directions to one of their bases on a planet not even their own home world, where they are building weapons of mass destruction. What possible use would that information be to a caveman who has no ability of flight let alone deep space travel?

There is planning ahead and then there is being ridiculous.


Why would scientists be terrified of 1000 year old dead alien bodies, yet be compelled to try and stroke a lie alien snake like creature? The reason is because the script was written like a teen horror flick where characters simply have to do stupid things to contrive a death scene for the audience.

There was just too many silly things in this pretentious movie that was simply beyond common sense. It's just written to sell merchandise and keep idiots going back for more movies hoping the next production team will answer the questions left over by the last Writer and Director.

And about the "alien snake-stroking"....um, THEY'RE ALIENS. Why should we just assume they're like life on our planet? Maybe there was some "reverse-snake-charmer" shit going on? Hypnotism of some variety, or something like that. It's called using that thing inside of your skull to think outside of it. If you need everything in film spoonfed to you, that's just sad. But I understand, because I'm open-minded and realize there aren't a lot of us around :)
