COMICS: BLACK CANARY EP 2 Released In Celebration Of The Character's 70th Anniversary

Remember, that awesome EP DC commissioned from Caveboy frontwoman Michelle Bensimon for Black Canary's DC You solo series back in 2016? Well, Bensimon is back with three new songs to help celebrate the character's 70th Anniversary.  The character debuted in August 1947, in Flash Comics #86.

In an interview with CB, Bensimon stated, "
Giving a voice to one of the most badass female characters is such a fun, challenging and rewarding experience.  Channeling the drama of her history and stories, while maintaining the intimacy and complexity of her voice, has been a really interesting and meaningful project for me, and has helped my own voice grow and shift in so many ways."

Though Black Canary is currently without her own solo series, she's regularly featured in Green Arrow, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey and Justice League of America.

Stream the music below and head over to the BandCamp page if you wish to purchase.

Both Nomis and Gusto still couldn't date her without people talking. She's half their age.

Dinah has quickly become one of my favorite characters, right next to Oliver, fittingly. Green Arrow (Rebirth) is one of my current favorites in my growing collection. They're totally my favorite couple in comics (yeah I carry a bit of resentment of Arrow because of that).
This is awesome, I gotta give it a listen later.

I like the idea of this type of cross promotional marketing. PLUS, this music ain't have bad, I'd love an album of it. Though I do hope we can get some heavier music from the band, Really make use of that famed larynx Dinah possess, this gets a little too shoe-gazey sometimes, fave track is definately "Get in the car".
