Doomsday Clock will bring the worlds of the DC Universe and Watchmen together for the first time and while much of the story is shrouded in secrecy, we do know that it's going to deal with Dr. Manhattan's role in The New 52 and other big changes which have been taking place in the worlds of these superheroes as of late. For example, why exactly are there now three different Jokers in existence?

Many fans believe it has something to do with the constant changes made to the DC Universe's reality through events like Crisis on Infinite Earths and Flashpoint and
Dr. Manhattan's role in those.

We'll just have to wait and see but it appears as if the Clown Prince of Crime will be making his presence felt in Doomsday Clock if the variant cover below is any indication. As you can see, he's using Ozymandias' Veidt brand of makeup and there's a lot of other Watchmen related imagery in the photo too. What do you expect to see from The Joker in this story? @Sal27 - I'm guessing it's because of how people reacted to the suicide squad version of the joker :/

Gary Frank is one of those artists that's aged like a good wine. He gets better as time goes on. Not to say he wasn't good to begin with, but his detail just seems to grow and grow. The same can be said with Jim Lee. He was a great artist in the 90's, but he's phenomenal now.

@batmbl - I personally think Jim Lee peaked around 2008, but Gary Frank, Frank Quitely, and Doug Mahnke have gotten so much better over the years, their work is incredible now.

@Solarkalel85 -

Oh i know he would, but, it would be interesting to see because Joker would be dealing with someone who has no rule about not-killing...who Joker is infamously more lethal with in dealing. He PLAYS with the bat family, he KILLS everyone else where they stand.

Yeah, that's more of what i want to see. The Miller or Ledger Joker clown prince of crime vs. Watchmen's Rorschach where in Joker knows this opponent has no qualms about ending him, and watching the blood fly.

Duuuuuude Gary is putting in the work of his lifetime for this. And that is saying something. These have been some of the best images I’ve seen in comics recently. He indeed does get better and better.

I hope they remember to explain to us how he became the Joker again after being cured. Snyder seems to have skipped over that part of the story in Metal, and Tom King is just ignoring continuity altogether.
The mystery is driving me batty!

@rabid - what do you mean?
Are talking about the white knight that started last week?

@FinnishFlash - In the core Batman titles, Joker was cured during Snyder's run. He had amnesia and was sane again after he and Bruce died and were revived by the pool of liquid metal.
But then he suddenly reappeared as the crazypants Joker with white skin again in War of Jokes and Riddles and in Metal. So what bleached his skin and made him unhinged again?
