Multiple sources have been confirming what had been reported from SDCC this past weekend, that Geoff Johns has added "President" to his job title at DC Entertainment. The promotion will not strip Johns of the title of Chief Creative Officer, but instead will add to his responsibilities, such as that overseeing the DCEU film slate with veteran producer Jon Berg.
Johns's involvement on the DCEU reportedly ramped up after Batman v Superman's post-release, when Suicide Squad was in post-production, with Wonder Woman and Justice League both heavily influenced by the veteran comic book writer. Its also been reported that Johns will currently taking some time away from comics to focus on his other responsibilities.
Chief Creative Officer & President Geoff Johns will still report directly to President Diane Nelson, also Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which isn't uncommon for Presidents to answer to other Presidents at Warner Bros. Since Nelson has been in charge since DC Entertainment started, it's likely everyone will continue to answer to her as long as she's with the company. DC Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee will also do the same thing.
DC themselves declined to comment on the story.
