Geoff Johns talks DC Film and TV

Geoff Johns talks DC TV and Film and how they actually exist together...could we still have crossover of TV and Film stars?

Looks like even though the film and TV universes are not "connected" in the same way as Marvel with Netflix shows and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Geoff Johns in an interview with Buzzfeed actually explains that they are more connected than thought, "We look at it as the multiverse. We have our TV universe and our film universe, but they all co-exist."

So does this mean that at some point we could have a Infinite crisis movie one day? where we could see Henry Cavill's Superman and Stephen Amell's Arrow on the small or big screen? It's possible; Johns said they haven't ruled anything completely out, "There’s been discussions over the years for both, obviously. You never say never. Maybe one day we’ll link a show to a film if it makes sense, but the creative process we’re going through right now is to let the stuff live and breathe and be its own thing and own it."

He also praises Marvel and the direction they have taken but as DC has said on multiple occasions they prefer to let the creators have as much freedom as possible and tell the stories that they would like to tell.

So what do you think? Could we still see Arrow in major motion picture with the Justice League? could they use this to do a large scale event over Film and TV like we've never seen? Leave a comment and thanks!

i think that would be amazing. Spanning over all the different TV shows and then a final act on the Movie Screen? it would be huge and epic. Only show that I dont think would fit would be Gotham, since you know they dont have any hero's haha.

You left out the most important part of the multiverse comment: "For us, creatively, it’s about allowing everyone to make the best possible product, to tell the best story, to do the best world. Everyone has a vision and you really want to let the visions shine through." He is just using the term multiverse to explain the separation.

I hope that the DCCU stays quite true to the comics. While we've had only one DCCU movie so far, I'm fairly optimistic about how good it will be and hope others will keep their minds open as well. I myself have not seen all of Arrow, perhaps I should give it a shot. The sad thing is though, WB didn't make a DCCU for anything other than as a response to the MCU. Still, I have hopes it might grow to something even better than the MCU in terms of faithfulness to source material and social commentary.

If WB can give the DCCU a warm hearted Wonder Woman movie or Flash movie, I'd love it even more. Superman and Batman are good with darker movies, I just hope the whole universe isn't completely dark...
