A VIDEO GAME IDEA: An indie game could give us Marvel vs DC

A game idea that could be the greatest ever. Could a Marvel vs DC video game of sorts not be so far fetched?

I cant believe someone hasn't done this already, as it is probably the best game idea ever and could make billions. Some indie studio or group of people need to do this!

THE NERDS VS GAME PROBLEM
We all know we are probably never going to get a marvel vs dc game, so for now we must play injustice and MvC, and im not saying those games are bad, in fact they are awesome, but they are limited in characters and customization. My game idea would be 20% cooler than any other game ever created, giving gamers nigh unlimited customization of everything.

THE GAME IDEA
The game would be a vs , 1 on 1 fighting game like injustice, but it wouldn't have a roster of characters. WHAAAAT?! is probably what you are thinking, so let me tell you what and why.
The game would have no roster of characters because you would make all of them. You would make everything about your characters from their look to their attacks, combos, Health bar, damage types ect. This is such a great idea because you could turn it into any kind of fighting game you want! You want to have Thor vs superman, chuck Norris vs bruce lee, brock lesner vs a robot lion? DONE! All of it would be possible because of the games fully customizable nature.

CHARACTER ARCHETYPES
To start off you would choose the characters archetype as a starting template.

TANK
this character type would be slow in movement and attack speed, but make up for it in having a massive health bar, being able to deal high damage up close and having resistances to effects like knockdown, stun and bleed.

SCRAPPER
This character type is an up close fighter who uses high attack speed, stealth, counters, grabs, stuns knockdowns bleeds and other effects to come out on top. The character is an ok ranged fighter and doesn't have as big a health bar as the tank, but have a high Health regen or defensive abilities to make up for it.

BLASTER
Blasters are fully ranged characters that are weak up close and don't have high health. They can deal immense ranged damage but otherwise aren't that well rounded.

TRICKSTERS
Tricksters are ranged characters that use illusions, traps, stealth, health drain ect to get the job done instead of using raw fire power. Tricksters have a bit better up close options than Blasters.

SPEEDSTER
This character is all about speed, whether flying, running or attacking. they have medium stats in everything but ranged in which they are useless.

ABNORMAL
The Abnormal is a character with traits of all the others available for you to pick and choose. You can balance the abnormal by taking the weaknesses of a class to balance him out or you can just go wild.

THE LOOK
Now you choose your characters look.
MALE HUMANOID
no explanation needed
FEMALE HUMANOID
no explanation needed
ANTHRO
A centaur, minotaur, whatever you can make it.
BEAST
pick an animal, real or fictional.
After choosing your template you begin customizing. the customization process would be like the WWE games but more in depth.

POWERS AND ABILITIES
First you choose whether your character fights with weapons or not.

secondly you pick your normal attacks, the four primary buttons (x, o, square and triangle) correspond to each of your characters limbs so you get to decide how you attack with each limb. After picking the normal attacks you get to decide what happens when clicking buttons in a certain order (combos), once finished you move on to you special abilities.

Special abilities are different from combos because combos are achieved through clicking certain buttons in order while special abilities are achieved through clicking a button (or several) while also moving the analog stick. Special abilities would be the most customizable and in depth part of the game, as their would be so many kinds of moves and so many ways to customize them.

AOE ABILITIES
When choosing to assign an AOE attack to your special ability you can customize certain things to make the move unique.

  1. Does the character punch, stomp, slam, clap, roar ect to cause the attack?
  2. what colour is the effect?
  3. what effect does it have? .
  4. how far does the AOE go? (the farther it goes the weaker it is.)
  5. what type of damage does it deal? physical, energy, magic,
RANGED ABILITIES
When choosing to assign a ranged attack to your special ability you can customize certain things to make the move unique.
  1. Where does the energy come from? eyes, hands, mouth, chest, sky? does the character do something like slam the ground to cause the attack?
  2. what colour?
  3. what effect does it have?
  4. how quick is the attack? (the quicker it can be used the less powerful it is.)
  5. what type of damage? energy, physical, magic
COUNTERS
When choosing to assign a counter to your special ability you can customize certain things to make the move unique.
  1. what does it counter? ranged or close?
  2. if it counters ranged does it deflect or absorb the attack to be used later by activating counter.
  3. if it counters close combat what awesome move does your character do?
GRABS
When choosing to assign a grab to your special ability you can customize certain things to make the move unique.
  1. does the character run forward to grab or stay in place. (if the character runs forward and misses they will be opened to attack for a bit.)
  2. Once the character grabs what happens?
  3. what damage does the grab deal?
once this is done you name your character and go play! I hope you like the idea!

It sounds like it would be super difficult to customize your own attacks from the ground up. Not sure.
