Ths isn't actually new news, it was announced quite some time ago. however I have decided to bring this back to light in view of the new set pictures.

These are the comic books which will feature The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

1) Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1: Power & Responsibility
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #1-7

This wasn't really suprising considering the fact that it had been long since rumored that "The Amazing Spider-Man" will take references from "Ultimate Spider-Man", ever since Brian Michael bendis tweeted about spending an after noon with the film crew. Do you think this confirms Oscorp as from where Peter will get his powers.

Maybe that scene with Peter and Uncle Ben will be similar to that from "Ultimate Spider-Man 4 - With Great Power".

Could Peter and Gwen's relationship in the film echo that of Ultimate Peter and Mary-Jane

2) Spider-Man: Brand New Day Vol. 1
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #546-551, SPIDER-MAN: SWING SHIFT and material from VENOM SUPER SPECIAL #1.

Honestly I haven't great Brand New Day. I've only heard about it. Little difficult to see how they could take elements from when Peter's an adult. What do you think?

3) Essential Spider-Man Vol. 1
AMAZING FANTASY #15, and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1-20 and ANNUAL #1.

Well the comics share the name as that of the movie so naturally, they're gonna share a few elements as well

I've noticed people mention "Spider-Man - With Great Power".

I wonder if only the costume will be taken from those comics and that too, permanently and not as a wrestling costume.

Give your thoughts below!!

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

those are some good points. I bet they are going to be taking the best from all variants of Spider-man to create a good and better version for the films. I hear constant praise about the Raimi movies but looking back they made Peter hate having his power whereas in the comics he embraces and loves his powers but at the same time deals with the hardship of having to limit himself to friends and lovers cuz he doesn't want them hurt. I also think bringing in BND is a bad thing because it was a rough time for the character since that was when the huge retcon occurred that it took til now in the comics with the BIG TIME era to finally make Spider-man more readable since they have freed him from his old life and going into a new one
