The West Coast Avengers #1 hasn't been released yet, but that doesn't mean this new series written by Kelly Thompson and illustrated by Stefano Caselli isn't making the rounds on social media.  On both Marvel's Official Instagram page (21.2 Million followers), and Official Twitter page (6.62 Million followers), they've released this short video showcasing this alternative cover which won't hit shelves until late-September:

Here's a look at the finished cover:

(Variant Cover #1, Marvel.com, Lauren Tsai)

The variant cover for #1 is illustrated by a young model and illustrator from Netflix's hit Japanese reality show, "Terrace House," Lauren Tsai (457k followers).  Throughout her run on the reality series, she was constantly tied to her sketchbooks, helped design some artwork for another housemate's coffee shop, and to top it off, had some of her artwork displayed in a Japanese gallery.  She clearly has shown enough promise in her talents that Marvel came knocking on her door, here's just another example of her style:

To top off her talent, She's only 20 years old and also quite a successful model, featured in ads for Nike, UNIQLO (the top Japanese clothing retail company, competitor to GAP), and Fendi, just to name a few.

This new iteration of the West Coast Avengers will feature a double dose of Hawkeyes, Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, Gwenpool, America Chavez, Kid Omega, and Fuse (relatively unknown and new character from Kate Bishop's 16-issue Hawkeye run).  West Coast Avengers #1 hits shelves on August 22, 2018.

Lauren's artwork can be followed through her official artwork Instagram page.

It will be very interesting to see if Marvel continues to showcase more International celebrity talent for variant covers as this would certainly be an amazing way to bring new eyes to some of their books.

Art is Ok.
But the roster is...tbh I only care about/like Hawkeye and to some degree Gwenpool.
The rest is "ehhh" at best.

Never really liked Kid Omega. Kate and America were pretty well ruined in their solo books-cringetacularly for Chavez- so meh. Gwn and CLint just aren't enough of a draw given the rest of the team.

I really like Clint and Kate together - they make a great team... in solo comics though. 2 Hawkeyes on one team is kinda lame - spread em out.

Yikes! This art looks like Strawberry Shortcake. I expect the story to be just as fluff.
