LOGAN Star Dafne Keen Sets The Record Straight On Possible X-23 Return In DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE

Star Wars: The Acolyte star Dafne Keen has addressed reports that she won't return as Logan's Laura/X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine, seemingly setting the record straight once and for all. Check it out...

We're expecting to see some big cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine when it arrives in theaters later this summer.

However, it would be wise to keep expectations in check; after all, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured the likes of Professor X and Mister Fantastic but was somehow still deemed a disappointment by many fans (likely because rumours promised Spider-Man and an evil Iron Man played by Tom Cruise).

With that in mind, Deadpool & Wolverine might not be as star-studded as expected, especially with Avengers: Secret Wars on the horizon. Still, we're bound to see some characters from the X-Men franchise's past, right?

Appearing at the London premiere for Star Wars: The Acolyte earlier this week, Logan star Dafne Keen was asked whether she's "sad" not to be reprising her role as Laura in the upcoming Marvel Studios threequel.

"Of course it's sad. I love Hugh and creatively, I love Ryan and I love Shawn. I'm really excited to see what they've made," the actress said. "I think Shawn is one of the best directors out there right now. Obviously, Ryan's a legend. It would have been amazing to be part of it, but I'll just go watch it as a fan. To see my old buddy in it."

When the interviewer put it to her that the Multiverse opens the door to countless possibilities, Keen responded, "Yeah, hopefully. Listen up, Marvel."

Reading between the lines and watching her response in the video below, we'd say it's a pretty safe bet that Keen is in the movie. Then again, rumours have swirled about Harry Potter star Natalia Tena supposedly showing up as an older X-23, so we'll have to wait and see.

Do you think we'll see Keen as Laura in Deadpool & Wolverine?

Shawn Levy directs Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. The movie is written by Ryan Reynolds & Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Zeb Wells & Shawn Levy.

The trades have confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, Blake Lively and, as we mentioned above, even singer Taylor Swift among those rumoured to make an appearance.

Kevin Feige, Reynolds, Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner produce with Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, Simon Kinberg and Jonathon Komack Martin serving as executive producers.

Deadpool & Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26.

If she's not in this movie, doesn't make sense for her to return older. With the rate of what's being filmed and about to be filmed, all things considered The Multiverse Saga is gearing towards the wind down. Bringing in an older X-23, with Keen or otherwise, just doesn't makes sense.

It is said, in hushed tones in some dark corners of the world, that Marvel Studios shot a myriad of scenes in which Deadpool travelled to multiple dimensions in scenes that featured many fan-pleasing multiversal cameos. Including Dafne Keen's Laura from the Logan timeline.

But then Feige logged into his cbm account and saw everyone saying "I hope this film doesn't have fan-pleasing multiversal cameos" so they deleted them all.

I had a nightmare that I saw Deadpool & Wolverine last night and it was a pretty good Deadpool movie with a great performance by Hugh as Wolverine. And that's all it was. It did not blow any minds, at all. DS-MoM had more multiversal madness.

I have a feeling she isn't in the film. Disappointing, but the cameo rumors are getting outta hand.

Bring on X-23. Daphne is at least a good actress. Of the many rumoured cameos at least this one makes sense. Something that really connects emotionally to Logan (the film), with an angry and confused 'daughter' unable to understand why this Wolverine isn't responding to her. That would be a cameo, however brief, with depth rather than the (potentially) long line of throw away appearances.

Obviously she'll be in this, it's one of the few cameos that actually makes sense
