As Doctor Strange continues to rake it in all over the world, Marvel's latest has made history as the highest grossing first solo installment in the MCU. The Sorcerer Supreme's first big-screen outing has now amassed $616 million globally, beating the studio's other single-character debuts, Iron Man ($585M), The Incredible Hulk ($263M), Thor ($450M), Captain America: The First Avenger ($370M), and Ant-Man ($519M).

Pretty impressive for a character hardly anyone outside of comic book circles will have heard of leading up to the movie's release.
